I think there are a number of cases that people have posted on here with the "defendant" so to speak being a mouthy piece of shit that was non-compliant consistently for a long time and then finally were detained, tazed, even beaten etc. where people think it was ridiculous for the cop to do and I generally completely disagree with that.

In this case though, the cop escalated things WAY too quickly. I realize there's no plate on the back of the car and that can be pretty major, but we don't all have license and registration within arms' reach that we can whip out in 2 seconds. I know there's been times where I've probably searched for my registration in my glove box for a minute or two before finding it. Granted I said "hold on, let me find it" first whereas this guy didn't appear to say anything at first, which is a bad idea, but I don't think this guy's actions were enough to warrant an escalation THAT quickly. "Whoa whoa whoa, let me find it" isn't "Fuck you, pig!"

I have been on more than a dozen. My father, uncle, brother and grandfather are or were all cops. The driver was a whiny bitch, but the cop was way too quick with the tazer and did not give nearly enough time for the driver to comply. End of story.

Was the cop a bit quick on the trigger, ya...but you know what....when a cop tells you to get out of the car or do anything at all, be polite, do it quickly and just keep your trap shut. You NEVER see a case where the person says " no problem officer" and quickly and quietly steps to the rear and THEN gets tazed. If "he'd kept his mouth shut he would have gotten a ticket and been on his marry way (which he could have contested in court id he felt he needed to)

You can say you do this and you do that... but in the end when everyone is home with their families (since thats what apparently matters in this speeding traffic stop) you had to admit that the cop progressed that a bit premature. THAT is my ONLY point.

This situation? No idea really. The cop did seem to move awful fast but he also did repeatedly ask for information and got absolutely no response from the driver, that seems like a red flag in itself. There was no rear license plate, that's another red flag. Combine them together, sounds like a potentially dangerous situation. Either way, it's all on video... if the cop was out of line I'm sure the department got hell for it.

In general I agree, however, I have had many opposite situations.

That smile resulted in the cop telling me he was going to impound my car.
I said "no you aren't" and other cops on the scene got everything straight and
I drove off. My car would have been impounded for no reason if that cop
had been alone.

I've had cops pull guns on me and hand cuff me but I swear that non of those
cops were even close to being as big a dick as the cop that wanted to impound
my car because he didn't like my smile. The other cops made a mistake while

I actually thought it was real til someone told me " do you actually think they would let tv crews on drug busts where guns are involved" LOL then they showed me clips of scene from cops and same guy in another tv show.

In the first thirty seconds the officer asked for a driver's license and insurance four fucking times. If a police officer has to ask you more than once, your a fucking idiot and you get what you deserve.

This person was speeding and had no rear license plate. Instead of arguing with the officer, a simple "yes sir, here's my ID and insurance" and this would have been totally different.

And... If a police officer asks you to step out of your car... At that point you had better not even look at him the wrong way.
