ICQ error problem... help!
I keep getting these error messages every time i log onto ICQ...
A runtime error has occurred. do you wish to debug? Line: 6 Error: unterminated string constant yes / no It pops up every 2 minutes or so... I can't leave my ICQ on or I get a ton of these messages. Ran a virus scan and nothing came up... any advice? |

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing ICQ? I notice that I have less problems with it when I use it though Trillian Astra.

Trillian Astra is great give it a shot.
I normally don't like to change software but I am very happy I did with ICQ after 6.0 came out and it took 2 weeks to pull up my history with a contact because I have 5K+ contacts in my history. Paid for Trillian 1-2 years ago and never regretted it once.

I'm a trillian fan also, but its had its ups and downs. Now that I'm thinking about it I might try to re-install trillian today as I've been having errors with the log files.
One tip for trillian users, don't set it to auto log you in. With the free version there is an error where if you don't manually connect and disconnect it "orphan"s your contacts, so as days go by it looks like less and less of your contacts are online.

Been using Trillian Pro for years now and very happy with it! Definitely recommend it over the base ICQ software!
