Will I get banned for this? oh well... I usually bite my tongue when it comes to illegal exgf sites but this irony was just too much for me to withhold!

Pricing is stated on the site itself:
http://www.websitesecure.org/pricing.php

It depends on how many sites you want to have certified. No matter what, it always works out to cost less than 1 join per month for standard paysites and on larger programs it can be far less. For many program owners that means even a single sale from SafeToJoin or .01% improvement in their conversion ratios earns more than the certifications cost.

Some certification companies charge by page views, which can add up to thousands of dollars per year and does not give you any cost certainty. For that reason, WebsiteSecure is a one time yearly flat rate with no upsells or additional costs of any kind.

If you would like to discuss specific pricing for your own network of sites please contact me via ICQ# 266942896 and we can go over all of it.

What will keep websites from putting up your logo on there site even if they are not certified. I see that you actually give certificated and that looks great. But to a normal consumer, who finds out about your site and believes what is certified by you is good to go. Can the consumer only check on sites that are good (100% truly certified)through your site?

Yes Supz,

Unlike many other certs, each WebsiteSecure seal has a unique number below it. That number is matched to the domain URL. So if you check out any BlazingBucks site for example and enter the number of the seal in the verification box on WebsiteSecure.org you will see a free full report about the site including support links and billing information.

If someone verifies the number or clicks the seal on a site and the wrong site name comes up... or if the number is invalid, or if the seal has become expired or revoked they will see immediately that the site is not websitesecure certified. If you or anyone else sees a websitesecure seal being used improperly please contact me via ICQ or the enforcement contact link on the site itself so that I can take further action.

WebsiteSecure.org certifications have real value and are based on real effort to highlight ethical sites for consumers. That includes protecting our intellectual property and our clients from malicious misuse by scammers as well.

Very glad to have had Blazing Bucks among the first programs to become certified. Taking an affirmative step and being among the first to do it takes courage. I am glad that the certifications have worked out well for you and that they are now continuing to evolve with SafeToJoin.com and other ventures into an even more complete source of revenue for your ethical paysite network.

I think the idea is great and is something we will look at for our sites, however, in my mind a "safetojoin" site would be one where there is no prechecked cross sales, and the first site I looked at had a prechecked cross sale to the top right of the join button.

Personally, I think it would carry more weight for a consumer if sites with prechecked cross sales were not included.

I can definitely appreciate that point of view. However I think you will agree that it becomes a question of where to draw the line. For example, some would argue that recurring billing is unethical. Some would say that trials which renew to a full month are unethical. There is room for debate no doubt.

When WebsiteSecure.org established our standards we kept one key thing in mind at all times. Does the site provide what it promises and does it charge what it plainly says that it will cost?

A prechecked cross sale which is above the submit button and clearly explained is something accepted by card associations, billers, major mainstream site owners and most of the public at this point. WebsiteSecure.org will never knowingly certify a site with any kind of unclear, ambiguous or unfair billing practices. Cross sales below the submit button, billing text written in confusing language, data displayed in low contrast colors and so on are clear grounds for any site to be rejected. When a site is rejected we do privately notify the site owner and explain our reasoning. So far we have had great success asking site owners to make small changes which more fairly explain their site terms for consumers. In that way we are actually helping to make some sites more ethical and we are continually highlighting sites for consumers that are in fact safe to join.

You will notice sites that do have cross sales on them are noted on the safe to join reviews and also the certificates of those sites say plainly 'this site uses pre-checked cross sales' or 'this site uses unchecked cross sales.' Notifying consumers of the cross sales is another way that we can assist people seeking to find sites that are secure, ethical and entertaining.

If you would like to discuss our policies in greater detail or would like to discuss specifics regarding your sites please contact WebsiteSecure.org any time.

From my point of view there is no such thing as [A Site Like This One] because every site is different and has its own terms, its own join page, its own processing etc...

'Policing the internet' would be absolutely impossible. For that reason, WebsiteSecure.org does not comment on or point out websites which have never been inspected. Saying 'this is a bad site' only serves to give even more publicity to the site. We prefer to highlight the sites that *are* ethical by pointing them out instead.

There are thousands of ethical sites online which are not certified yet, so a site without a website secure seal may be 100% ethical, but as our slogan says - You can always be sure with WebsiteSecure - meaning when you do see the seal, you know the site has been inspected fully.

If the site you mentioned requests certification we will definitely inspect the site fully and determine whether or not the site meets the standards we have set. If they never request inspection we will continue to have no opinion about their site one way or the other. Speculating about a site without having put in the time to do a proper inspection really isn't helpful to anyone. When you have a specific site you would like to have certified, please contact me and I will be glad to assist you.
