Avast free is pretty good. I use Eset Nod32. Its like 60 bucks for 2 years. Barely takes up any resources and works great.

I used to use Panda Titanium, but a few years ago I said fuck it and just went with the free Avast program. Haven't had any problems with Avast yet.

I don't use any virus protection on my Windows installs. (or Mac installs either). No problems. I think shit like Norton only causes more problems than it prevents.

I don't know of any good free one.

I use ESET Smart Security 4.0 (NOD 32 latest version).
It's pretty good but I also have "Spybot Search & Destroy" installe for malware and shit like that.

I think out of the free ones, Avast is probably best. I'm using Kaspersky now though!

Avast is one of the best and it's free. Though, I use paid ones too.
