Rest in Peace Max....
December 26, 1995 to May 22, 2010 14 years, 5 months, 22 days.  Maxwell's last Christmas - December 25, 2009  Max's tumor progression as of May 5th Today we had to put him down. Cheer's to the best pooch anyone could ask for. Rest in Peace Buddy.

I don't give a shit if there is a heaven for humans but I hope there is a doggy heaven...somewhere. Sorry for your loss. I had to put down one of my dogs a few months ago...terminal cancer...and I miss her terribly. RIP...Max.

I know how you feel right now mate.
The best solution is to go to the animal shelter and get another dog right away. That's what we did and we felt less pain when we lost our dog to an incurable illness last February. |

Feel your pain. When I was 17 our dog suddenly died. He was already 3yrs or something when he came with us. We were a perfect match. Went through good times and bad times together.
I don't know if being able to say goodbye would have made it harder or less. RIP.

rest in peace Max. i still haven't replaced my retriever, losing her took too much out of me.
dogs are amazing friends and family. the majority of marriages don't last 15 years but the relationship between dog and owner/companion does. by the time your kids reach 15 they are going through the rebellion stage where they hate you and don't want to be around you. but your dog - right there by your side, waiting for you to come home and greeting you like you're something special

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
