    is it TRUE, a performer on QUARENTINE list is trying to book work?

    I read at Mike South's blog that a female performer on the quarantine list is going around STILL trying to book work with a "pre-outbreak test" that is WHY we need to KNOW the fucking NAMES goddammit..because alot of these skanks are drug addicted whores that need to keep working for the suitcase pimp and their own habits

    I WANT NAMES NOW

          I got confirmation today that someone on the quarantine list printed a copy of their AIM test before it was taken down from the database and is trying to use it to work.

          Nice.

          Come on AIM if you can't do any better than this are you surprised AHF is going to run you out of town? Telling people NOT to come forward is wrong on about a hundred levels, stop trying to set yourselves up as Gods and start being forthright with talent.

                          Come on dude! you don't need any names. This is a production thing, not a webmaster thing.


                          But if you need to know how it works:

                          It does not mater what the paper test says. If the name has been pulled out of the AIM data base or you call for a verbal confirmation and the person on the phone has no record available to him to read from, that person or persons are on the quarantine list.


                          Nothing gets shot until the online data base has been checked. We as producers know this.


                          Now, why do you need to know this?

                                                      Simply being on the quarantine list does not indicate that anyone has HIV. It only means that they have directly (generation 1), or indirectly (generation 2 or higher), had contact with patient zero (whom tested positive for HIV).

                                                      During the 2004 Darren James HIV incident, only a few of the two dozen or so people on the quarantine list tested positive. Most were cleared after taking a few rounds of tests which came back negative.

                                                      It is the Producer/Director's personal responsibility to confirm each test result (either through the database or over the phone with AIM), to avoid forgeries or results that have come in subsequent to the last test.

                                                      As an industry, we need to come up with, or push for, better methodology for testing, since this is now the second time in the past year that someone has tested positive, but not before exposing several other people to HIV.

                                                      If we don't, I suspect that it is just a matter of time before condoms are mandated, or even more harsh regulations are imposed on the industry by the government.

                                                      I try to have performers tested within a few days of their scheduled scene(s), even if I have to pay for the test myself, and I always check myself each performers current status. I also shoot less risky scenes (no anal, no internal cumshots, no gangbangs, etc).

                                                      Personally, I wish that the list of names was made known to those within the industry, however I understand why it is not.

                                                      These must be some anxious times for the people on the quarantine list (it takes multiple tests and weeks to be cleared), for in addition to the uncertainty that they might have HIV due to their exposure to patient zero, their lives are further complicated by the fact that they are at least temporarily out of work (for many, adult work is their only or main source of income), so I wish them all good luck, and hope that their tests come back negative.

                                                                                                          What it usually comes down to is malicious intent.

                                                                                                          If you disclose you are HIV+ and your partner doesn't want to use a condom, it's on them.

                                                                                                          If you fail to disclose after your partner asks if you are HIV+ it's on you.

                                                                                                          EDIT: Actually, I think you must always disclose. But if the other person doesn't care and assumes risk it's on them.

                                                                                                          I actually know a guy that was going through the testing so that his ex would be arrested in he came up positive. Two months in he wasn't positive yet but he died in a car accident. Talk about irony.

If they are on the quarantine list, their records get pulled out of the system and that means they are on the quarantine list. They will tell you that too.

He identifies himself and the the AIM worker gives him the info on the girl then, the girl gets the info on the guy in regards to the test results. If there is something positive or wrong with either of the tests, the shoot will not happen.

This is very common in "porn Valley." Happens everyday, all day long.
