you can make the same argument about jail reforming people the world over. Fact is, thats the way we hand out justice. You do wrong, you go to jail.

Not if your bike is running and it's in gear.

That's why the train. Unless he was a pussy and got scared of a guy on a Harley and he was shaking then the gun went off.

Maybe it was a holiday and he had to work while his neighbor was home fucking his wife on his bed, I don't know. But who the fuck shoots someone in the back. He deserves to go to Jail for a long time. But will he, No.

No he does not. He will be isolated from the main prison population.

But doing anything loudly like screaming would be considered a hostile action and you'd get shot anyways.

Surely some cop somewhere has used that excuse before.

Same applies still.

Many people kill without intent - accidents etc etc - these people still get punished. Why should this officer be any different?

If anything, IMO he should suffer far harsher consequences as he should be protecting the public with all his *training*

His actions after the shooting speak boatloads, IMHO. He was not acting like it was a mistake.

Pretty sure his job does not entail shooting someone in the back.

So be it. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

interesting to see everyones responses.. people mostly don't give a fuck about each other..

I like playing the devil's advocate a little bit obviously..

the cops goin down for a while I'm sure.. especially since he just stood there like a dumbfuck with his gun drawn after he drops the poor guy. I know a lot of bikers, and they're damn cool until you fuck with them. Cop was in FEAR... Insert fail pic.

I don't think cops get locked up in the same place as criminals. That would be pretty much like killing them.

bad judgement that leads to felonious assault with a gun has a consequence. i am glad justice was served in this case.

Suprised he got found guilty , i have seen much worse go unpunished/uncharged

i admit cops must have a hard time making those split second decisions.

checkout this video recently from oregon, although completely different scenario , the cop must make a split second decision to shoot or not, in this case his decision to shoot probably saved his life, fortunately it was a taser so all ended well.

That police officer handled the situation perfectly there. That should be used as a training video for other officers.
