if you started today, would you bother to promote or even set up a paysite, when you know these days people get there fill from tubes?

of course.. and if what you say is true, new sites wouldn't be popping up.. and sites wouldn't be staying up.
people still buy porn online. i think DVD sales are more affected by tubes.. along with cookie cutter sites where you can see the content on 100 other sites + tubes. |

People can eat at the soup kitchen for free, yet there is still hundreds of restaurants and grocery stores in cities.
People can get TV/Movies for free off the internet, yet Cable and Show Business is still a massive money maker. People will pay for quality, just because a few are willing to settle for lesser quality, does not mean its doomed.

Fuck yes.. but it's not relatively speaking. Probably 10,000 of their visits per week are guys like us looking for stolen content.  |
