if you started today, would you bother to promote or even set up a paysite, when you know these days people get there fill from tubes?

of course.. and if what you say is true, new sites wouldn't be popping up.. and sites wouldn't be staying up.

people still buy porn online. i think DVD sales are more affected by tubes.. along with cookie cutter sites where you can see the content on 100 other sites + tubes.

People can eat at the soup kitchen for free, yet there is still hundreds of restaurants and grocery stores in cities.

People can get TV/Movies for free off the internet, yet Cable and Show Business is still a massive money maker.

People will pay for quality, just because a few are willing to settle for lesser quality, does not mean its doomed.

Only time I download shit is if the previews didn't offer me enough, then I usually go buy it if I like it. Recently, I downloaded the first few episodes of Deadwood after seeing the first 2 seasons @ Best Buy.. Bought it the next day. :pimp Same for new bands I stumble across.

There are a lot of assholes who think they should get shit like that for free. Those who would and do pay for it far outweigh them, though. If you think the numbers on pornhub/youjizz, etc., is equal to every porn surfer on the internet.. you're sadly mistaken.

Hell, I can think of more people who haven't heard of a lot of those big sites than I can of people who have. 9 million visits per day is barely scratching the surface.. is it a lot? Fuck yes.. but it's not relatively speaking.

Probably 10,000 of their visits per week are guys like us looking for stolen content. :1orglaugh

What are the alternatives?

I still launch new pay sites all the time. There is still a market for them, and you still make good money with them. People will still pay for good content and convenience.

Don't believe the hype.
