Will the IPAD change the way you design?

Reading up on IPAD design and such I came across some very good articles
and thought I would share them with anyone wanting to design more IPAD friendly

And if you have some good articles post them here...

1. Ipad Design and UI resources

2. How the IPAD effects the way we design

3. Will The IPAD change the way you design

And finally for the ones that ARE interested in designing more
IPAD friendly here are some vector graphics PSD's for IPAD design
And some tutorials on how to make detailed IPAD icons.

http://blog.kevinandersson.dk/2010/0...-editable-psd/

Anyways I was just wondering if you were personally going to change the way YOU design? Or will you just blow it off as a fad that will eventually blow away..

I'll have to read your articles over as my interest was peaked by fris's thread. I'm still kind of at a lack for understanding exactly what special modifications need to be made to become "iPad friendly" because every site i've viewed through the "ipad view" site looks perfectly fine to me. /me shrugs

Angry Jew Cat

Its really just the difference of

The site looks fine and operates fine
or
Its actually pleasant to operate and works better

A couple major things I took from it all is :

Landscape vs Portrait -- Fluid css type stuff.

And to remember surfing on the ipad your using your finger and not your mouse
so instead of text or small text make sure its big and easy to hit with a fat finger
or change it to a button..

Things like that really..

makes sense. i'll wait to see what sort of traffic i'm getting from the ipad before i run out to support it in my designs. unless i was specifically building an ipad site, i wouldn't get too bent out of shape over designing with ipad usability in mind. Especially when the design already functions fine for the ipad. it's not quite like setting up amobile version for your site, where a normal design would be simply unusable and not optimized for viewing. A normal site seems to look just fine providing it's width is ok...

Lazy Person:

If it works with Safari, it'll be fine in iPad.

Not-So-Lazy Person:

There are a few things you can do to make it a bit easier to navigate, but with your navigation hand around your cock, it's gonna be difficult anyhow.

Best bet is to K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) for all mobile

claudia-marie.mobi seems to work just fine for everything. It's nice and simple. I save the bells and whistles in the members area for people on a computer. And they still have the meat of the site on their mobile device. Makes sense to me.
