Anyway, there is nothing wrong with religion per se. I don't believe in nor like organized religion for many, many reasons. BUT... it is not necessarily the religion that corrupts the believer, rather the believer that corrupts the religion. Just as all things are corruptible, so too religion.

This, in the end, is why religion fails. The bible, written by primitive and fallible humans, interpreted 1,000's of different ways by fallible humans, divided and sub divided into newer religions by fallible humans, and quite expectantly corrupted by fallible humans equals a failed system.

But to blame religion for the actions of these people is about as dumb as saying guns kill people when in actuality it was the unstable human using the gun that kills people. Whatever the tool is, that is all it is, a tool, an excuse for human behavior. How it gets used is entirely in the hands of, once again, fallible humans.

It is true that people merely USE religion to justify the despicable things they do, but it is much more than that. Without religion, do you really think we would have suicide bombers? Religion is a system of indoctrination that turns people into unthinking zombies willing to do anything their handlers tell them to do. In that sense, it is very much to blame.

I think what you might be trying to say is that the gods behind the religion are not to blame for the actions of idiots who do this kind of shit in their names, but those gods are basically 'made up' by the religion. Actually, I DO have Mensa and LSAT scores but that's for another time. You're right, maybe 99% was a completely retarded assessment. yes I'm 100% positive. It was a special program for gifted students to see how well they would do. It didn't get to count. It was still the real thing. I had to go to the local college on a saturday to take it. I actually took it at 12 too. Very few got invited back the 2nd year to take it again. I was one of those.

Not to mention when I was in high school a friend paid me to re-take his SAT for him.
