Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- who has gone to great lengths to hype the supposed dangers of a big government takeover of American health care -- admitted over the weekend that she used to get her treatment in Canada's single-payer system.

"We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada," Palin said in her first Canadian appearance since stepping down as governor of Alaska.

What health care? Where if you like what you have you keep it. If you don't have insurance you can get it and you can't be turned down for insurance because of age or pre-existing conditions? yeah that kind of health care would totally suck.

I guess she should have told them exactly how old she was when that happened. Considering one of the towns she grew up in as a child was Skagway Alaska, which is only a stones throw away from Canada it shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Maybe that was the closest medical facility. Either way, the incidents appear to have occurred before she was even of legal age and the decision was probably made by her parents. So why do you leftist give her such a hard time about that?

Certain provinces were set up to have health care paid by the federal government in the late 50's early 60's. it all depends where she went really. Saskatchewan was the first in the 50s, in the 70's, there was more than hospital visits covered in Ontario. If she would of been in alaska, she would of most likely went to the yukon or BC.
