Tequila aficionados
Any here? I'm a fanatic. Tonight is Corzo Anejo. Corzo Tequila combines art and science to create the purest, most refined spirit possible - a tequila of extraordinary character with the full aroma and flavor of blue Agave. More than twice the Agave of other super-premium tequilas, Corzo is harvested at the perfect moment to create a smooth, full-bodied taste that sets it apart. Aged for more than one year in small white oak barrels for an authentic, smooth flavor. And it fucking rocks. Every drop is pure pleasure. |

 | To my utter surprise & shock, I discovered in Vegas (when I was getting married) that the Corzo Blanco (only Corzo, not all blancos) is even more delicious. But I have weak knees for anejos. |

My all time (new) fav though is Don Pilar. Can't get that shit anywhere. I was able to get one bottle from the company rep, but haven't been able to find it anywhere since. Most buttery anejo I've tasted. http://www.donpilar.com/ My fav tequila liqueur is Orendain Almondrado. But can't get that shit anywhere but inside Mexico.

You want to look for the "100% Agave" on the bottle before plunking down any money on a tequila. A great starter tequila is 1800 Silver. Not too expensive, but still very good. (Sauza) Hornitos (blanco or anejo, never tried their repo) is good too. Cazadores Repo (another cheapee) is borderline, but will do in a pinch, but Caz Anejo is crap.. (has a weird taste, but ok for cooking).

 | I'm a fan of 7 Leguas Blanco and chamucos Reposado... The 7 Leguas is made in the old style - with the mash being ground with a stone milling wheel turned by a mule who walks around in a circle powering the wheel. Since 1952 - so it's one of the older more "traditional" tequilas. www.tequilasieteleguas.com.mx The Chamucos is just freaking fantastic. http://www.tequilachamucos.com/ Both run about $50-$60.

Man please don't do that to yourself. Cuervo is mostly chemicals, like someone else here said its like drinking paint thinner. I can't even drink it in Margaritas any more, without getting an instant headache. Pick up a bottle of anything that says 100% agave on it and you will be very happy.

 | I like to try all sorts of tequilas... that sir is one the goodies. Yea yea, patron is overrated... The grey goose of vodkas... But I still like a nice cool shot of patron over most off the shelf tequilas. Do like to try authentic and exotics. Its certainly my booze of choice when im in need.

 | ahh, is that what it is? i assumed it was due to lower sugar content but i am not sure where i came up with that! i think that in my experience, my worst hangover result from sugary drinks and/or mixing drinks i.e. beer/wine/tequila = OMF head hurts. |

 | I've always found it to be the most vile tasting drink there is, except for maybe gin. I honestly don't understand how someone can enjoy it. If I had to envision how it was made, I would guess it was some sort of paint thinner mixed with rotten wool socks worn by a field-working mexican, that was left out in the sun for few days. |
