I did not expect this at all. Few things to look at:
3. Peyton Manning became the old Manning we always questioned, botching the big games during the first 6 years of his career. I thought those days were over, but he showed it again. He's the new Brett Favre.
2. The Colts were thoroughly outcoached. I give Sean Payton credit because he has balls bigger than Bellichick. Those calls he made could have destroyed his team but he owned Jim Caldwell, who didn't show much.
1. And the biggest reason why the Saints won was, the Colts' pass defense. It was absolutely atrocious. Both offenses played well but the Colts pass defense blew in every sense of the word. They are mostly responsible for this loss.
Think about it this way. The Vikings completely owned the Saints in virtually every category and needed 4 fumbles and an interception to lose. Brett Favre had 470 yards to Manning's under 300. It REALLY makes you question if Manning is even better than Favre at this point, because this was supposed to be Manning's coronation as the greatest ever. Now I'm wondering how badly the Vikings might have beaten the Colts had they made it to the Super Bowl. I bet because of this game, Favre will come back.Greed is Good

That pick was fucking awesome - I was thinking for a few minutes before that that Manning would throw a pick - wasn't expecting a pick for a TD though. Oh well, he'll have to settle for his gillions of dollars in endorsements still.Want to crush it in mainstream with Facebook ads? Hit me up.Comment

Me and my friend (yeah he's real) were just saying if we can get Favre back we have a good shot next year of finally cracking the Championship game. Damn I hope he comes back.I did not expect this at all. Few things to look at:

Vikes 0-4 in Champ games since 1977 when Oakland beat us in our last Super Bowl.
AND it was 1978 when the fan at Metropolitan stadium threw a bottle and hit the ref on the head against the Dallas cowboys causing the Vikes to lose the first championship game and never have luck again. (according to my friend)
AND the Super Bowl that year that Dallas went to was in.. you guessed it.. New Orleans. He says big bad luck against the Vikes from the Saints. lol

I think Favre will come back after watching this game. I think everyone thought they should have won that game because they killed the Saints in every category, but fumbled the ball 4 times, and 1 interception. I also think Manning will get a 2nd and 3rd title while New Orleans won't win again anytime soon. Bob Sanders and Anthony Gonzalez will be back next year for the Colts, and they should have a freakishly good team.Greed is Good

its actually legal (in most states) for two people to bet on a game as long as there is an outcome that is not decided (chance) and no one profits off of it. What makes most gambling illegal in the US is that the bookie or middle man takes a cut. Also, Football pools are legal, only if the payouts = 100% of what was collected. Playing Texas holdem is legal as long as no one is charging you a fee to play or rake from each hand.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

lmao... how can you compare how two players performed against the same team when you bitched and bitched to me because I was comparing how the colts and saints played against the patriots...
Looks like the comparison I gave turned out to be a good guage. Colts should have lost to the Patriots, the Saints blew them out. The Saints handled the Colts.
BTW, where the hell do you get your stats from:
Farve: 28-46, 310 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INTs
Manning: 31-45, 333 yards 1TD, 1INT
Manning played better than Farve.... Farve 470 yards? Manning not over 300? wtf ????
One thing you got right, the vikings are a better team than the Colts and would have beat them too. We played the cream of the crop 2 weeks ago, not last night. When the colts were busy coming from behind to beat Sanchez and the JETS lol. The Saints were battling with a top team like the vikings.Last edited by will76; 02-08-2010, 12:07 PM.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

didn;t kill the saints in EVERY category, the one that counts the most is the score!I think Favre will come back after watching this game. The Saints forced a lot of turnovers, got to give them credit. You can't say the vikings were better and " if not for all those turnovers", blah blah. turnovers are more important of a stat then yards and catches are. turnovers are game changers, drive killers. If you can't hold onto the ball then go back to pee wee leauge. The better team won in the vikes saints game, because the better team played a better all around game, and the final score showed it.
LOL since you can't talk shit about your colts beating the saints in the superbowl now you jumping ahead to the "next year" crap.... lol we will see, just like we did last night. Time will tell if Manning ever makes it back again.Last edited by will76; 02-08-2010, 12:12 PM.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

lol, agreed.
That onside kick did a lot more than just get the Saints a TD drive and the lead. It crushed the Colts offense attitude.
Coming out of the dressing room, all fired up to start the 2nd half, and you lose the kick and have to sit down. Anything they were pumped up for definitely cooled off by sitting on the sidelines.Formerly known as Adult Rental Chris

Yeah that onside kick was either gonna be the best call ever or the stupidest play in super bowl history. Still sinking in for me!Comment

Manning likes to get in a rhythm, like any QB. He was feeling it the 1Q, but then sat down almost the entire 2Q, then long half time he was itching to get the ball back again. Boom the Saints take it, make him sit even longer.
totally messed up his rhythm and any time the ball is not in his hands he can't score so thats a good thing too.
