Do people really believe that the president of the united states actually makes any decisions on his own?

Do people really believe that one party is not equally as corrupt as the other?

The problem with this country is that people are being distracted by choosing sides without even really knowing what either side is doing..

The only solution to the problem is a complete overhaul of government and until people stop blaming sides and understand the bigger picture then things arent going to change and in 3 years if Obama doesnt get elected then you will all be blaming the next president.

Maybe you should start looking at congress because thats where the biggest problem is..

Its going to take at least 10 years for the economy to recover. Unemployment is not going to get better and the foreclosure segment is going to get worse.

China is a wildcard here and if china contracts you will see a major negative impact on the us and global economy.

Now how about some debate backed up with facts and opinions instead of insults..

STEP 1: Full transparency

Secret research operations should at least be itemised with their budget and research field. All court trials should be broadcast.

STEP 2: World peace

Use the armed forces as world helpers. $1 a day tax from every American could feed the billion starving forever. Free shelters for homeless.

STEP 3: Go harsh on STDs and communicable diseases

Compulsary testing and quarantine, small butt tattoo if you're a lifelong carrier of disease. Ankle bracelet while you carry curable disease.
It's in epidemic proportions but brushed under the rug because it's an STD

STEP 4: legalise pot! Free prisoners from petty crimes.

STEP 5: no homework. 6 hours a day of school is plenty without making kids work into the night.

STEP 6: Legalise prostitution. why is it the government's business if you exchange favors with someone

STEP 7: Solar power. Put a $100 panel on the ground and get 100 Watts 10 hours a day. It's not much dearer than burning coal.

STEP 8: No ads on pay TV, it's like putting tax on tax, there's no reason we can't have quality media.

STEP 9: No loopholes detaining people with the mental health act, you're either arrested or you're free.

STEP 10: Age of consent should be within 25% of your partners age, a 30 year old can marry someone from 22 to 38.

The US has a 2 party system.

The system is broken, but it is a 2 party system.

It is sad that it is corrupt on both sides.

Until something (hopefully) changes, you are still left to choose between 2 sides.

If you want to participate in the debate, you are choosing one team or the other.

Thats the main hurdle... How do you get people to debate the issues instead of trying to prove which side is right and which side is wrong...

The govt loves the fact that people will fight for their side whether they are right or wrong. it keeps the people focused on the wrong thing.

if you polled a majority of this country, they choose and defend a side without even knowing what the issues are about...

i just started reading bills and its amazing how much bullshit is in each one..

The problem with representative government is that the candidates are funded by special interests on both sides. The regular people they are supposed to work for are lost and forgotten.

If the "tea party" movement was all-inclusive, as opposed to a right leaning, racist leaning gang, then maybe it could of grown big enough to mount a fight. Unfortunately even these type of groups are quickly purchased by their own prejudices and special interests.

its going to get worse with the new law that allows corporate america to fund (without limitations) their contributions to their agenda...
