I went through my teens in the 90s, that was my bread and butter. Music now is much better, you people just need to turn off the corporate radio, and dare i say, the XM radio...

Which one of the artists, that all sounds like Roger Troutman, are ground breaking from the past 5 years?

I do not listen to a lot of radio, but when I have.... almost all of the current pop songs or their artists I should say, are running their voices through synthesizers. I also can't recall a lot of real good songs with a message or lyrics that stand out to me. Especially those who repeat the same sentence over and over for 3-4 minutes with techno in the background.

I personally do not think this is ground breaking as Troutman already did this in the 80's with the synthesizers. So I must be missing the revolutionary music from the past half decade somewhere.
