What I want to know....and its an old board tradition...is how the hell everyone seems to know how much everyone else has done. They say it with such great authority. Its kinda funny really. I have been told my business was small and would never survive. I have done pretty well since 1998. Rumours of my demise have always been greatly exaggerated. Others have left the business....failed...and are trying to relive the glory days of money waterfalls. But from my point of view, they told me many times, with great authority that I was...working out of my basement for peanuts...lived with my mum and dad....actually worked a full time job at Photomat or the perennial favorite...MickeyDees.
However,I seem to be still here, making a good living doing nothing but adult websites with my poor traffic skills, low Alexa numbers, but a not so low bank account. Go figure.

Look back at some of the old threads and you'll see why half of these fuckers are broke because some of the stupid shit they have wasted their cash on.

Furthermore, you have the same dumb asses that refuse to accept that I am an educated female that does not have to cower down nor lay on my back for all of these so-called "playas" so I must be a guy pretending to be a girl. As I have said elsewhere, the men in this industry, whether it be behind the camera, in front of the camera, producing, marketing, or the average Joe slinging porn online all seem to look at females as replaceable objects while forgetting without women, there would be no adult industry. So when a woman who comes along that has an education and success in businesses (mainstream) where the most of them have never accomplished anything and if it weren't for adult, many of them would simply become a product of the welfare system, they feel threatened and go out of their way to discredit at every turn. Because there is no way a woman could ever be successful at something they could not.

Since my time here at GFY, I have done well in both mainstream and adult. The tube site was just a simple test. It got me in the door to see how things worked. Then I did the best thing I could, I started something else without putting it out here for the average asshole to shit on, criticize, and downplay because I am female. Since the summer, I have made $36k in adult. Not a large amount but I am willing to bet it is far more than most of the keyboard warriors earned for the entire year. This is in addition to my mainstream gigs and then this new gig in Amsterdam.

So while so many focus on me being a "nobody", I say big fucking deal. If you got into this industry because you wanted to be "cool" or "liked by all" then its your mistake. If you got into this industry for any other reason than to make money you're a complete idiot. And if you dismiss a name on web forum and run with your assumption that they have never accomplished anything, you're an even bigger idiot because you do not know what others have done.

But I suppose if threads like declaring "bankrupsy" and "my mom died" or the countless other drama queens post is being a somebody, then thank God I am a nobody. If you think posting on a web forum with a bunch of morons supporting you makes you a better person, then more power to you.
