lol i saw my site is down, i open a support ticket they say its up. 1 minute later the whole natnet is down

im sure they get back online in minutes.

I dont want to jump to any conclusions yet about what it may be...even though I think our guys are the best in the business, sometimes the first idea about what is wrong turns out to be incorrect. As soon as I have something concrete I will update everyone.

I dont think it has been that long (I know that it can feel like it when something like this happens) but I dont have a way to tell for sure until it comes back up so I won't question you. I can only promise you that we are feverishly working on getting everything stable and it shouldn't be much longer. It seems only sites using natnet's dns services are down, I have some of my dns services hosted directly at godddy and those are reachable. I can also get to my servers directly via IP. It looks like Bill's initial thoughts about their dns servers being ddos'd is prolly correct. I am sure this will be resolved quickly.

We definitely know it is a DNS issue...we are working to try to isolate the problem now. It looked like a DDOS at first, but there are some routing issues that happen from time to time that look like DDOS so we do not want to get tunnel vision fixing the wrong problem. There is an art to this that is way above my knowledge level but I have the best guys in the country working on it right now and they tell me that we are close to a resolution. I will update you as soon as I know more.

if you guys are truly sorry then your clients would be reimbursed accordingly without having to ask for it, right? im sure some of the big programs will lose greatly for every minute natnet is down.

yeah losing sales due to downtime happens occasionally .. my fear is affiliates seeing their links not loading and then switching to another program :/

I know it's frustrating as a customer, but if your income is that important you should have a backup solution in place.
