I dont want to jump to any conclusions yet about what it may be...even though I think our guys are the best in the business, sometimes the first idea about what is wrong turns out to be incorrect. As soon as I have something concrete I will update everyone.

I dont think it has been that long (I know that it can feel like it when something like this happens) but I dont have a way to tell for sure until it comes back up so I won't question you. I can only promise you that we are feverishly working on getting everything stable and it shouldn't be much longer. All of the Senior members of our staff are working on it so I am confident that we will have a resolution soon.
I am sorry for the issue...I assure you that we will isolate the problem, correct it, and then figure out how to make sure it doesn't happen again.

It seems only sites using natnet's dns services are down, I have some of my dns services hosted directly at godddy and those are reachable. I can also get to my servers directly via IP. It looks like Bill's initial thoughts about their dns servers being ddos'd is prolly correct. I am sure this will be resolved quickly.Comment

We definitely know it is a DNS issue...we are working to try to isolate the problem now. It looked like a DDOS at first, but there are some routing issues that happen from time to time that look like DDOS so we do not want to get tunnel vision fixing the wrong problem. There is an art to this that is way above my knowledge level but I have the best guys in the country working on it right now and they tell me that we are close to a resolution. I will update you as soon as I know more.

I know it is frustrating but, as always, we will work with our customers to make this right by them. That's one thing that I am proud to say, we will go to the ends of the earth for our clients. I cannot always promise perfection but I can promise our level of commitment to our customers.
