There are only a few times when I've been able to pass out stoned, but usually (99.99% of the time) it does the exact opposite and just keeps me awake for fucking ever. Maybe I have too many things on my mind? I don't get it I really wish someone could explain to me how to pass out when your heart is pounding.. everyone must be smoking some reggy bullshit.

PSS: Actually I'm high as fuck and my 1000th post was a weed thread. Fuck yeah!

Certain strains contain certain canaboids in different amounts which when combined with the thc and some other chemicals within the plant which makes one drowsy.

A lot like asking why benadryl makes some people sleepy.

Im no expert but I believe there are a few reasons why....

It depends on the way you are smoking and the strand of certain marijuana.. but Inhaling smoke also delivers toxins. Two of the biggies are carbon monoxide and benzene.

THC also plays a big part in this isn't it a suppressant ?

True, trust me I've smoked a fucking lot of different kinds of bud, from some potato chip ass chippy looking reggy bullshit to some off this planet Jamaican entertainment bud shit that makes you want to do a million backflips at once

- either way I can't fall asleep. I know all weed contains a certain percentage of sativa and indica but I'm pretty sure I've been through the highest percentage of each and I'm still wide awake high as fuck haha.

Well, I only smoke blunts, maybe this could be the problem? I'm smoking tobacco leaf when I'm smoking so maybe it is the tobacco keeping me up? But shit man after even 3-4 hours I still can't fall asleep because it's so good shit, the tobacco can't possible be lasting that long.

You could say I'm smoking too much at once, but people are supposed to get knocked out faster the higher they are right?

I can't sleep if I eat dope cakes, my mind goes into overdrive with mental thoughts and ideas, but smoking weed will help me sleep.

Maybe you're having too much, smoke a bit then stop. hehe

Same here. I can't sleep when I'm high because my brain goes crazy. I literally spend hours brainstorming about the most rediculous shit. Same with coke, but that's not surprising.

You already said it, you smoke blunts. Blunts equal tobacco. Tobacco = a stimulant, has hundreds of added chemicals. Plus it increases heart rate and alters your blood pressure. I.E. it clouds any pot study you have ever performed.

Not all plants have to have both indica and sativa. There still are pure sativa's and indica's. There are also some very stable F2 breeds that have had some assorted features breded into them and also out of them. A plant that is high in the indica family or more likely to cause one to get drowsy or sleepy. Keep in mind though THC also matters. If you get a strong indica that also has a super high level of THC you very well may end up with a very cerebral type high that does not cause you to get tired. It just makes you relax (or get paranoid) and sort of go on or be stuck in a mental adventure/odyssey. I.E. relaxed but a hyper mind.

Guess the best way to put it is, stronger is not always better in all aspects. Have not found many clinics/dispensaries that explain it to well either aside from how strong it is, the basic type of high (to them or reported), and then shit that does not matter such as color and crap. PS - do watch out for adding extra weight especially to show off to the eye more crystalline properties than it really has. Everything from play with sugars to fucking tiny glass beads have been and are used. But hey you trust dealers right, and they would never do anything to add say 10-20% to the weight and make it look more pretty.

Some say know your dealer or dispensary. I say know your grower. Fuck I do not even want them using certain fertilizers, definitely not using assorted insecticides, and I do not even like the use of rock wool even though that is a separate matter. I also would want them to toss a garden if they shattered a certain bulb by accident (trust me easy to do) than just replace the bulb and clean up the glass. I am not concerned with the glass in that instance. High pressure sodium is scary enough, high pressure mercury vapor, um fuck that.

Almost forgot - heavy coughing = waking you up some and getting blood flowing. Plus often a sign the plants were not properly finished.

there are many, MANY CBNs in marijuana and we only understand about 4 of them(most popular being THC) and have no idea really how the things work when in combination of each other. There is simply much we do not understand about the "why" but it just "IS." The length of time the plants are flowered etc have to do with the way the CBNs work and each plant differs. Its like measuring the amount of lycopene in tomatoes... they will all differ.

Just like some people chill out on alcohol while others get violent.
