im a master habanero grower and grow the biggest and hottest ones youll find, all organic and natural, no pesticides, I have pounds and pounds and pounds of them!
heres a pic of some big ones I pulled not too long ago
I love habanero and eat it all the time. However you should always use gloves when handling them to cook, when cutting them, and especially if you eat wings etc, be careful!
Fletch those are gorgeous, is there a particular way to grow peppers or are they basically like any other vegetable to grow?
thanks! lots of sun, not much water for peppers. Could have to do with the amount of hot and sunny days down here in new orleans, the summer was brutal and produced some beautiful habaneros for me this year.
I have plants in the ground and they are pumping out habaneros, I picked buckets of them over the past weeks... im doing blog entry and will post pics in a minute.
i once sliced jalapenos and then took a leak without washing my hands first, same kinda deal.
i hated it
LOL, we made some bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers a few weeks back and they were lethal. Pulled out the seeds etc and filled with cream cheese and spices. My hands / fingers burned for 3 hours after that.
You can wash your hands 10 times, but capsaicin is so molecularly small it gets in your pores and simply washing them will not get rid of it.
I use gloves every single time i touch and cut peppers. Capsaicin will get on the tinyest part of your finger or skin and end up in youe eye or on your genitals.
