when i was doing blind dates I would go for dinner or coffee. I did a lot of dinners mostly cause I don't like eating alone, i would get the same results from a coffee date as from an expensive dinner. i did most of the the hookers when i was married - it was easier and less risk of getting caught.

i really have to disagree with the confidence thing. i know it's common for guys to say this but a few observations-
1. i've gotten laid during some of the lowest points in my life- immediately after getting fired from a career job and after break-ups with girlfriends (re-bound sex), both earth-shattering confidence killers at that time.
2. the confidence is all it takes theory assumes that all chicks have such acute confidence radar that they can smell out a lack of confidence at first glance or on a first date gives way too much credit to every woman on the planet. that's just not true. we've all met some pretty dumb chicks, psycho chicks, whatever, you can't stereotype all chicks this way.
3. sleazydream says he's not much different in real life than here on this board and with his strong need to talk down to others and belittle people here, it's obvious his confidence is lacking, both here and in the real world.
