:Oh crap

Got my room lined up and all set to go.

I see it is in Palms this year. Last year it wasn't sold out, plenty of seats left.

Well then they should get with the times and combine them together.(not like a couple years ago doing them seperate at the same time, I mean same room, and a seperate B2B area)

Guys, I've been following the status and preparations taking place for the 2010 AVN Awards and I can tell you that it is going to be a very special event. In 8 days we are going to have the new website up with all the important information. Additionally in few weeks a consumers voting section will be open and visitors will be able to vote for certain award categories.

I'm an Internet guy myself and I had no idea prior AVN how much effort needs to be put on such events or how many people have to work each time.

I brought that home and gave it to the neighbor's wife.

I'm going to try to make it but no promises yet.

just like last year .. will go, stay offsite, meet some people, go to other event in vegas, enjoy vegas for what it is, go home.

I walked into the "Show Floor" if you can call it that, was "Interesting" ..

honestly things just need a full reboot for shows, or a different kind of show must be born. but these things are pointless, they are what they are, and most of them will stay that way until they can't.

that being said, maybe a nice steak dinner at Capital Grille is order and get some biz done

Im sorry Mark I just don't agree with you on this one.
I always work my ass of at shows and get my monies worth and a lot of biz done.
However I still think its safe to say the Miami show was just not well put together last year and has been on a steady decline for years.
Lets face it you and I have been sponsors in the past and I do not see either of us taking out our wallets for that show these days.
I know the standards line is a show is what you make of it and that is true to some point.
But if I am going to invest time and money in a show it should also be what the organizers make of it, and in the last few years that part has been in steady decline and turning into more and more of just a cash grab.
But thats just my two cents.
We may still go as we are also involved on the other end of the biz and would also take in AVN but just for Internext Vegas, not a chance until I see them get their act together in regards to these shows.

Good to hear. It was nice to see the show last year, but the place was only half filled. I see this year it is in a smaller place, what will make it smaller but nicer to attend. Maybe i'll go to the awards again.

Looking at what we are doing Internext is more interesting. But to have a good view at all the business from producer to custumor it is also interesting to visit AVN. There you can see the fans (customers) and see what they are interested in.
