So it does decline, from looking at these stats. More failed amounts %.

ONE per cent increase - hardly destroying the industry.

going from 12 to 13% to me is a one per cent increase in declines but i see what you're saying - in a horrible economy i'd take that as a major victory.

And don't forget one thing, some of the declined come through at the 2nd try, but its still a decline in stats, so real decline stats could be easily 30-50% lower.

But your rebills aren't over $30, correct? The denial rate would be much higher with those. No clue why, but lately there is a problem to rebill at 34.95 or more. People are so fucked.

The difference on ours is much greater than that. It started November 2008.

Thats the price issue I was talking about. The higher the rebill price, the more declines...I didn't think people are so broke right now or if its something else.

I think one feature is deadly missing on ccbill...if the rebill doesn't come through within lets say 7-10 days, they could try to bill $5 less, wait another 7-10 days and then re-try with $10 less. Not sure how hard it would be to make that happen, but it would surely increase the volume a lot.

Netbilling is already doing that.

Ibill used to retry rebills 3 times. But that was back in the day, and that sort of thing may not be allowed any more. It would be very sweet if it were possible.

I can't see how it would be an issue...as long as the customer doesn't cancel his membership, I would re-try until forever.

Yep and we are keeping a lot of good members that way.

They may rebill this month at a much lower price...but the following month it's back to the normal price. And even if they rebilled at $1, I'd rather have that than nothing at all.
