Anyone get a dropped connection when submitting?

Hello,

I have a very strange problem here. I have cable modem Internet service and when I'm submitting to TGP sites my connection to the Internet will drop at random times throughout my posting.

I have to then restart the cable modem and continue posting, then it will do it again after a few more sites.

When I'm done submitting and just surf or leave it idle, the connection never drops. It's almost like some of the scripts on the TGP sites are causing problems or something.

Has anyone ever heard of this problem? The cable modem is brand new so I'm wondering if somehow it is my NIC or hub.

Thank you.

But i would FOR SURE say it's you hub.

Search the board.. failure on submitting galleries is always
the result of switching problems in your hub.

We had a rare occasion where a nic caused it:
one of the most famous GFY threads ever.

Could be your Firewall causing that. I use Sygates on my DSL and to do posts and FTP's I have to adjust the settings or I get like what you have happening.

Hello,

I don't have Norton or a Firewall running and it happened when I used another computer to submit. So I'm betting it is the hub. Then again when I hook the cable modem directly to my NIC it also happens.

I'll just get a new hub and NIC and maybe that will do it.

Otherwise it is just plain annoying. Does that sound like it will fix it?

Ok, here is an update.

I got a brand new hub and NIC along with replacing all the ethernet cables.

I still have the same exact problem...

When submitting to TGP sites when I get so some of their submit forms (almost all cgi pages) my connection just drops and I have to reset my cable modem to get back online.

It only drops the connection when I'm submitting so I have no idea how to fix this thing. It is really really upsetting.

Thank you for any help that can fix this issue.
