The Reality is tubes changed this business forever. Did they make it easier? HELLLLL NO! Do I wish they went away? Sure. Do I wish tgps and free porn never came out? SURE. But it's here. It's not going anywhere.
As many of you know we run a number of tube sites. The tube business model is very sustainable. I don't agree with the way many other tube sites are run. However here we are two years later. They are still running and still seem to be doing well. Most of the sponsors here are working with the bigger tube sites in one way or another. I don't see why Eric should be attacked for this. If it's ok for gfy sponsors to work with the tube sites why can't gfy? If everybody had refused to work with them then that would be one thing. But that's not the case.
Disclaimer: I should mention I'm going to be with Eric all of the next week and this thread is straight up bros4bros 2009

To be honest I don't think short term. I look at the long term picture. I'm always thinking about tomorrow's $$$. That is why we've invested (and are investing) heavily in both our paysite division and our free site division.
We are doing what we can to protect our content. DMCA is what keeps these guys going. I'm sure they'd say they didn't make the rules they are just playing by them.

ok, so based on that logic that you just said why do you fund (directly and indirectly) to pay their bills? I know if you stop someone else will and thats that the shitty part but when all the laws change (if they do) you will be able to have a steady flow of real traffic sources not the illegal ones..
Joins are still out there without tubes (points at his statsremote just to check lol) just who you choose to sleep with now means a whole lot more..Comment

I've usually been the guy that sits on the sidelines taking a moral stance and watches others get rich. Cross sales, banging cards, spam, etc etc. I took advice from a Mr Brad Shaw and got off my Moral High Horse and decided to do what's best for my company and making money. In the case of tube sites we decided a long time ago we felt it was better to control the use of our content and work with them than not control it and fight them.
Btw these traffic sources aren't illegal. As long as they delete the videos once they get a dmca notice and as long as they are uploaded by surfers they are legal. The big problem is the biggest company online is doing exactly the same thing. Google. DMCA law is what it is and adult tube sites won't cause that law to get changed imo.Comment

from what i recall, weren't there even people who went drastically out of their way oh, say 2.5 years ago and spent lots of money out of their own pockets to get as many of the the biggest people that they could together in a room to unite and organize something to thwart all the the stolen content efforts from the very beginning, only to find that you can't unite a bunch of renegades and self proclaimed corporate conjecturists? i think they stopped wasting their time on people who the efforts weren't best invested in. those people have stopped caring about people who don't have it in them to do something. not sure if anyone else remembers. that's how i remember it anyhow.

The reason people didn't go crazy over the Brazzers skin is because they didn't come out and say they represented PornHub, Tube8 and Keez.
Traffic Junky did and then turned their head to it and just say that people should cash in anyways to get their traffic. Kinda like selling your soul.Comment

Rule 1. Never steal from another company. Stealing from the clients is 100% cool. If you get caught blame an affiliate if that excuse is too old then blame a rogue employee until a better excuse comes out.
Rule 2. If you steal from another company deny that you own the site that is doing the stealing. People will believe you. Continue to deny. Ignoring threads and repeated denial works. NEVER admit you own it and you'll be fine.Comment
