Yup, if I want to go for a crazy drive up the Canon's I take my Road bike. Or I put the car on the track.

Thanks Danny,

I have pics somewhere of my A8, I had lowered that with rims on it as well, Black on Black, but I just raised it back up recently because I was selling it. But now I actually enjoy it for long drives in it. The R8 is a fun car, but after seeing my wife drive it around, it kind of feels like a chick's car now. :( But haven't really turned off the goods and gave it a good run. It's a fun car for sure. I heard they have the convertible coming out soon.

R8 Spyder.

that looks sick as hell! :thumbsup But I would get some sort of air ride to lift it up a touch for the RR tracks and drive ways atleast. I spent most of my 20's with low rider and convertible trucks that were like 12"'s lower than stock so trust me I know all about lowered rides but I would still if I had the money want to make it so I could drive it with as little abuse as possible

How does it handle the bumps on the interstate ? I noticed it can be very bumpy in some areas, I don't think the car would survive does bumps with anything higher than 100 mph:helpme

Choopa Phil 09-15-2009 01:20 PM

What, was my question too technical for ya =P

DonovanTrent 09-15-2009 01:28 PM

I've never understood lowering cars, especially that much. Potholes, poorly banked turns, rocks and misc garbage on the road, railroad crossings, speedbumps, parking garages, hell just plain old driveways... I just don't get limiting where and how you can drive..

It certainly LOOKS badass. How does it handle, can you remember what roads & parking lots not to hit? If so, fuck it.

I just hope you got the car corner balanced and had the proper camber adjustments made otherwise your entire suspension geometry/handling could have been made worse by you lowering your car, especially with an adjustable coilover. And i ALWAYS suggest getting a skid plate, last thing you need is to accidentally hit your oil pan off the ground. I made a HUGE dent in my 2nd cars oil pan, just not worth the risk especially on a car of that caliber. Anyways looks great, and like suggested above get some wheel spacer, something like a 10-15 mm spacer would look SICK, but might require a slight roll. What kind of stereo equipment are you running? need moar pics!!!

Sorry bud, missed this one.
Too much too list, I'll see if I can get more pics up later.

Regarding Camber and balance, when a car is that low. it doesn't really matter how much you work on the camber. You just need to tell yourself you are fucking up the car so drive the hell out of it. :(

But I do go through a lot of tires.

You don't limit yourself where to drive, you just need to expect that you will scrape things but I always say, If someone can afford a Ferrari, they can afford to have the Bumper painted once a year.

The scrape marks on the bottom, that's another story.

One through an OA Internet site. I like to, um, try programs before I promote them.

I keep telling sponsors that I need to test their models before I will promote them, but they won't let me. It usually just ends in a restraining order. :Oh crap

Choopa Phil 09-15-2009 01:47 PM

i feel ya 100% on that, im going through rears on my G35 every 5k and when you have a 20x11 rear with a 295/30/20 it adds up quick. But you are right and its nice to come across someone with a car like yours who actually drives the car the way its meant to be. Looking good and lovin the Haman wheels 2 or 3 piece? also, what rim/tire sizes are you running on there? Sorry for all the questions, car just looks sick man!

Hey KB,

Sold the club last year. New owners split the club in two but have other plans for it now.

Choopa Phil 09-15-2009 02:13 PM

SICK rear tire! thats awesome, why not run a 245 on the front rim it would help alot with understeer since your front/rear sizes are so drastically different
