Why can't I just leave the suspension alone. Started with my 77 Pinto when I was 15 and now every car I get my hands on. Either Monster Truck too high, or Slam everything to the floor. When do I grow up. :Oh crap

Dave, I'm glad you're in LA for in Chicago, you couldn't drive that on the roads:warning

Fletch XXX 09-15-2009 05:37 AM

nice, yeah La freeways may be alright, but you couldnt drive that in new orleans LOL the brick roads and pot holes would tear your ride up. we ride big thangs down here, big tires, big rims... too low and you asking for trouble around here.

thanks for sharing pics

"my rims up to yo hood"

sittin on 30s down in the dirty!

Bike 09-15-2009 05:39 AM

Nice ride! I've already fucked up my front bumper on my 360spid once and it's not even lowered!

What are those side skirts near the front and rear tire? Is that for extra protection or something you added custom for looks?
I've never seen those before.

raven1083 09-15-2009 05:53 AM

nice ride....

looks like that ^

It must be going for a HUGE price tag....F40's (unless my eyes deceive me) are in short supply, and highly sought after. My uncle owns one.

BestXXXPorn 09-15-2009 06:18 AM

Just set it on the frame, hhaahahha

In all honesty I would say it's a bit too low unless you're keeping it on a trailer or a track :P

Glad to hear you drive it like it's made to be driven though... I see too many people driving Ferraris at like 2k RPM and I want to strangle them...

Jman 09-15-2009 06:25 AM

LMAO in Montreal I would give you 1 day with that car... Our roads/streets are horrible. You'd get stuck with your wheels spinning but no traction.

Phoenix 09-15-2009 06:33 AM

yeah roads here are terrible as well...i guess winter does havoc to roads here.

tranza 09-15-2009 07:08 AM

You got a nice ride.

SplitPalms 09-15-2009 07:18 AM

The car looks great. Much better than the stock height. Tires fit perfectly into the fender wells.

Who cares about the risk of scraping up a bumper? It's not like you can't afford to get it fixed or you will have to walk to work because your car is in the shop.

I would definitely get rid of those plastic pieces behind your front wheel and in front of the back wheel though. Not only do they look cheap, but they make the car look lower in the middle and higher on the bumpers. I think a nice even height across the entire body of the car will be better.

What Audi do you drive?

Choopa Phil 09-15-2009 07:22 AM

Car is looking good! any adjustable front/rear camber arms for that drop? While i understand lowering a car, as i have to every one ive owned. I just hope you got the car corner balanced and had the proper camber adjustments made otherwise your entire suspension geometry/handling could have been made worse by you lowering your car, especially with an adjustable coilover. And i ALWAYS suggest getting a skid plate, last thing you need is to accidentally hit your oil pan off the ground. I made a HUGE dent in my 2nd cars oil pan, just not worth the risk especially on a car of that caliber. Anyways looks great, and like suggested above get some wheel spacer, something like a 10-15 mm spacer would look SICK, but might require a slight roll. What kind of stereo equipment are you running? need moar pics!!!

FrozenJag 09-15-2009 07:23 AM

That is bad ass man. nice work!

L-Pink 09-15-2009 07:54 AM

I don't think you will ever get it on a wheel alignment machine.

It does, but it takes some work to get it on there.

pimp ride!

CHARGER 09-15-2009 08:41 AM

Now you got me thinking about selling my lambo i have a 2007, Murcielago if someone is interested let me know color: orange

fuzebox 09-15-2009 08:48 AM

I've owned a couple lowered cars but damn, I would never take a vehicle down that close to the ground... Even if you avoid speedbumps, a lot of driveways, malls, hell even the lift at your mechanic, will fuck up the bumpers :(

Its funny, we used to have Nissan 280 ZX's. First thing we did was take the springs our of the struts. Bumpy ride for sure. We were bouncing everywhere.

munki 09-15-2009 09:30 AM

Every car I've owned with the exception of my current soccer mom (which I still think would look better another 3 inches lower) has been coilover dropped or fully air bagged.

I've chewed through more mufflers than I even want to admit to.

Yo Adrian 09-15-2009 09:54 AM

I think that looks bad ass Dave!
I've always tried to customize every car I've owned.. starting with the wax job on my primer gray Buick Roadmaster when I was in high school.

epitome 09-15-2009 09:57 AM

I say that some production company will rent that for a rap video within 3 months.

epitome 09-15-2009 09:58 AM

My penis stretcher has my head hanging just 1" from the ground. I think I went too far.

Anybody wanna say pics or it didn't happen?

MaDalton 09-15-2009 10:02 AM

my biz partner had his BMW extremely low and i did not really enjoy driving with it. yes, great on straight, new roads but god forbid the roads were bad or you wanted to enter a parking garage... lol

you have it here in panama?? :helpme

Sam Granger 09-15-2009 10:15 AM

Nice car you've go yourself there. I wouldn't of lowered it myself however and wouldn't stick wheels on THAT big, it's bad for handling. But it sure stands out! :2 cents:

BradShaw 09-15-2009 10:32 AM

Does Everyone have a ferrari these days? Mine is in the shop, gun shot.

beerptrol 09-15-2009 10:56 AM

Those parking garages and the McDonalds Drive Through, those are the rough ones.

Niagara region, too.

We specialize in teeth-jarring potholes and pavement patchwork. City work crews only know extremes - fill pothole/create bump. Smooth ain't in their repetoire.

So I take it it's not the Autobahn!

That's hot man.
Ferrari for fun, a8 for bizz and have the lady go from a to b in an R8.

Did you take that R8 for a spin without all the ESP and ABS and stuff?
Quite a monster if you ask me. Not as raw as the ferrari, which is why you're driving one, but just saying... Big Audi fan right here.

Anything you did to custom the Audi's?

Thanks Danny,

I have pics somewhere of my A8, I had lowered that with rims on it as well, Black on Black, but I just raised it back up recently because I was selling it. But now I actually enjoy it for long drives in it. The R8 is a fun car, but after seeing my wife drive it around, it kind of feels like a chick's car now. :( But haven't really turned off the goods and gave it a good run. It's a fun car for sure. I heard they have the convertible coming out soon.

Licentious 09-15-2009 11:40 AM

So, then the point was to decrease handling by changing the suspension geometry from race spec?:winkwink:

R8 is sick. Lucky wife. I'd be borrowing that when she isn't looking. Although actually if I had your Ferrari I probably wouldn't.

Have you ever owned a 7 series BMW? It seems like the go to executive style car. Since you actually own one an A8, can you tell me why you choose it over something like a 7 series?
