I picked up a Mini 9 and I hate it. It's probably an awesome little machine but typing on it sucks. Lesson learned. Never buy a mini anything without a full size standard keyboard.

I have a bunch of mini 10v and they are pretty good, it is a bit hard to type at first. They start up really fast but get slow if you run too much software on them...

My mom has a Dell mini something. I can't stand it. It's just to small to use for anything webmaster related unless it's an absolute emergency. She doesn't like it either and I can't see any use for one at all.

I just got a mini 10v and like it. Installed ubuntu netbook remix on it and it seems to work fine. I won't be using it for development, but for managing sites built on a CMS, it works great. Not sure what the difference between a 10 & 10v are, but when I found the 15% coupon code, I didn't want to pass it up.

I picked up a Mini 10v a couple of months ago and it's been great for what it is... I've mainly used it for web activities - blog updates, forums, stats etc.
I went with the 10v over the 10 because of a few articles stating that the 10v had the better graphics chip (GMA950 over the GMA500). Also that the GMA950 and the 270 processor had better "hackability" with better driver support if you wanted to throw OSX on there and turn it into a "Mac Mini". The only advantage I saw in the Mini 10 was the option for a higher resolution screen - 1366x768 vs 1024x576 on the 10v (they both have HDMI out though and I believe the ability to do 720p when output to a another source). To me the biggest annoyance w/ any netbook or laptop is the lower resolution. It sucks going from 1920 x 1080 down to 576... you lose half of your viewable area. Like I say, in the end I went w/ the 10v and it's slightly lower screen resolution because it had too many other advantages. And if you do pick on up, definitely buy from the Dell outlet. With the 15% off coupons all over, you can easily pick these up for under $200. I got the Mini 10v, 1MB RAM, 160GB, Webcam, 6-cell battery* for $190 on the outlet after 15% off. *Definitely look for one that has the 6-cell battery instead of the 3-cell! We have yet to have the battery die on us.

You can run OSX on the 10v... you can't on the 10
