he was no stranger to "extracurricular activities". as far back as 2002 I can remember how hard those guys used to go. we all know the dangers and ramifications of what we do. some people take it one step too far and that's all it takes. it's easy to do. "drug addiction" is too loosely used. social use is the cause of more people dying than addiction. they don't know the limits. these aren't the type of people that do this type of thing every night. they go big 2-3 nights a week. it only takes one time of going too far and good night sally. it's too bad. sad.

stopping drug use & then resuming at a later date "at the same dose" is in fact the biggest (overdose killer) in the world

i have yet to meet a person firmly in the grips of addiction that has overdosed....it's the people that stop/go to rehab/or take a break & then resume.....they usually die within the first 3-4 days of resuming

This is exactly how my very good friend died.. Was clean in rehab for a little over a month, got out and did the same size shot that he was used to doing and his sister found him with the needle still in his arm..

This really ticks me off

bingo. not a game. not a toy. like playing russian roulette. you take your chances every time you play it. with them being so easily associated with fun things like parties, music and clubs, the reality is lost to what you are really doing, which is ingesting poison into your physiological being with the intent of creating a chemical reaction that results in temporary euphoria. many factors determine the effect. mood. diet. physical condition. mental stability. you have to know that you can die every time you play the game. if you don't you shouldn't touch them.

rumor is he was depressed. i read that on a few blogs and heard from a few of his personal acquaintances that he was in fact really depressed lately. mixing depression with drugs is a bad, bad combination and normally doesn't end well.

i feel bad for him that no one caught the warning signs if that is the case. people like him have lots of people around them, and i know from running in that scene that most people in your immediate circle don't care much about you when you really break it down. it's a very shallow, unrewarding lifestyle. it appears to be all rockstar from the outside, but on the inside it's pretty empty at times.

I am so glad that at my age of 40 I now know the next time I try to do cocaine, X, or LSD, etc... it could very well be my last time.

I did my fair share of mixing drugs too. Sometimes I thin kit's a miracle i am still around.

So let this be a lesson to anyone who does a few bumps, or an eightball then takes a Xanax or Valium to come down and sleep.

This is the FASTEST way to kill yourself if you have been drinking.

Yo-yo'ing is something I used to do far too often.

I'd do a quarter gram of meth in a day or so and then take three xanax bars to fall asleep.

If I wasn't doing that, my favorite cocktail was EKG. We thought were were so clever ... ecstasy, ketamine and GHB. Talk about a deadly fucking combination ... one's heart doesn't know what the fuck to do.

I look back at my old self and shake my head in disbelief. I was a pitiful person.

The upside is that a lot of us are proof that there is an upside to sobriety. That is why I always tell my story to anybody that will listen. Drugs do not have to be a dead end street.
