If your mouse wrist hurts get one of these

Just bought the Wacom Intuos2 tonight. Its fantastic! Takes about an hour to get the motions right when you switch from using a mouse. Lets your hand move around a lot more naturally without those repetitive motions and you don't get those wrist pains anymore.

It gives you so much precision in Photoshop too which is the main reason I bought it.

Cool thanks for the info dude, I never knew if these things would be any good. I thought then you'd get the RSI from like writing with a pen all day. Maybe switch from pen to mouse part way through the day to help the hands recover.

There not cheap these things, 9x12 looks like a nice size. What one did you get are you happy with the size of the pad. Do you think 9x12 would be too big for normal use??

Cheers

Sammy

The accessory pack looks pretty interesting too - a real airbrush effect sounds very interesting.

Yeah they're pretty good dude. Excellent for P/shop & 3DSMAX
One problem though, they are no good with multiple monitors.
I run a 19" & a 17" screen on my box & had to go back to a mouse again.
Once the tablet reset itself for the 2 monitors, I had only about 2" square of the active surface to use the pen on or the cursor turned up on the other monitor. Bummer.
However thay are pixel perfect for fine work in the 'Shop.
None better.

Thanks S_R.
I've been reading the posts for awhile, since we were fucked-over by Visa last month.
This is where I learnt my fate at the hands of CCBILL, they never bothered to let me know they would not be processing my CC's any more.
They gave us some crap about setting up an Asia/Pacific account to handle us, but it was pretty obvious that we did not contribute sufficient to their coffers to warant it.
I had been with them for 10 months & their customer service was second to none untill that time.
Lost all my rebills naturally.
Moved on though, set up again with another biller & sales have climbed above previous best for the second month in a row.
Bloody hard work pays off in the long run.

Wolfie thanks for the duel monitor info, Damn it I was looking forward to using one of theose Intuos2's. But i'm on duel 17"s and I wouldn't trade 2 monitors for anything.

Guess I won't be buying one after all

I got the Intuos2 4x5 for $219.00 at CompUSA. I looked at the larger pads, but i like the small footprint on this model. The larger size would probably be better if you are into very high end graphics design. I love this one and you can do things a lot faster with the pen. The movements are more naturally. I just bought the Microsoft Office Keyboard today which has that roller for scrolling on the left side, since it was a bit harder to scroll with the pen since I was used to the wheel in my optical mouse.

I highly recommend Wacom.
