Which sponsors no longer make money for you?

I used to make decent money on the traffic I sent to the sponsors below - but not anymore. Most of these sponsors are now 0:4000 or worse with my traffic - use to average about 1:1000.

ARS - a sale once a season - if that.
PlatinumBucks - sales just died.
SpaCash - not sure what happened.
BlazingBucks - nice tours but no sales
Lightspeedcash - same old tours, what a waste
Kinkydollars - was one of my favorites
21centurycash - sales fail.
Gammacash - was great years ago
Hushmoney - never did as well as I thought it would with my traffic.
SpunkBucks - good tours but ZERO sales
Nichewealth - zero sales. 0 for 4:000.
ExtremePaychecks - sales are few & far between now.
TripleXcash - used to be solid for me, not anymore
STFUcash - pulled links long time ago

Sales with the above sponsors since the beginning of this year are virtually non-existent even though the same sites and links are sending the same type of traffic. I used to at least get a sale once in a while with each of them but now, nothing. zero, zilch, nada.

The bulk of my sales are now coming from the brandname site networks like BangBros, RealityKings, Pink Visual, Naughty America and smaller niche sponsors like ATKcash, Karups etc.

It seems to me that sponsors with mostly stale cookie-cutter sitetours and infrequent updates are all but dead. Time for me to pull some links!

Feel free to add to the list. Which sponsors no longer make money for you like they once did?

When was the last time you refreshed/updated your ARS links and promo? We launched and redesigned a ton of tours recently, and also came out with a fantastic cam program.

Other things we have recently done:
-Xsell free option
-New Niche RSS
-International Billing
-Better quality FHGs

Things going Live this week:
-New chat software on the join pages to capture more sales

STFU Cash, TripleXCash and HushMoney are also on my list.

But I'd include TopBucks (which is a shame, since I used to send them almost 100 sales/month), RealityCash (it's a shame they don't poduce fresh content for Hardcore Partying anymore) and TCG.

there are a good number of programs I used to make a good bit of money with that the numbers have dwindled to zeros, despite decent traffic still being sent....

As an affil I appreciate your post. I see the same trends. (Not with the same sites posted, a couple of them are doing well for me) For some reason a few progs keep delivering signups and a lot don't. I think it is some sort of mathematical/sociological thing where if you have 20 sponsors only say 5 will do well. But you need 20 to get the 5.

Generally only the very shiniest (big buck looking tours) or fresh new stuff in a niche convert. (But as I say that I can think of exceptions) There is no formula. But I do notice in retrospect my gut is usually right. That's what I'd go by.

How long to hang in there with a sponsor is a tough decision. I've seen more than one suddenly jump to life and suddenly conversions are ok again.

But, I hear ya.

Unfortunately, like many people here, I deal with 100s of sponsors. I dont have time to contact every affiliate manager for every program that is not doing well. My years of experience with affiliate managers has shown that 99% of the time their advice doesnt significantly change my results. So I just move on to the next sponsor.

BTW I think your question should be the other way around: Did an affiliate manager contact me when they saw one of their longtime affiliates sending traffic and his conversions were dismal? That answer would be NO.

C'mon Fletch, name some names! It would be good for webmasters to compare overall results with each other. I have a feeling some of these sponsors are still making money on our traffic from type-ins and tour leaks.

This is why you should not be allowed to be a rep unless you have decent prior affiliate background or if not that you should have good communication skills and be very much on top of things. All 3 makes a good rep though. Often you see rep's with none of them.

Here are just a few of mine from the shittiest converting ones to the better ones if you can call it that all are unique hits not raw hits....

OC Cash (since converting to nats4) - 1:10,251
Hundies 1:9,703
Hush Money - 1:3,849
Platinum Bucks - 0:3,278
Top Bucks - 1:3,651
Meat Cash - 1:3,351

Many others that 0:1,500 and above

Would Post the ones that are 1:200 to 1:700 but I would like to keep those at the current ratios.

I'm 0 in 21,019 since 2-1-09 with one well known sponsor but, I had 5 sups in Jan so... overall I'm at like 1:5000 for the year.

That kind of shit will drive ya nuts.

Normally 20,000 is MY limit tho. I hate to pull em tho cause "I" like their sites and they get click thrus but they just stopped selling.

But someone said, that's the prob we wms are out of touch. You can't go with what "you" like I guess.

It all comes back to the 1950's Hoover vacuum cleaner saleman analogy I like.

You can only sell so many Hoovers in one neighborhood.

I was just about to say that. If the program doesn't care the affiliate is not making sales, on the same traffic when he was before, don't you think the company would want to know why as it may show systemic issues they need to correct.

I like how you think... I would be FLOORED if a rep from any program reached out and just wanted to chat about traffic and conversions. It's like affiliate managers don't give two flying fucks about the program or you, unless your in their referral line.

Would Post the ones that are 1:200 to 1:700 but I would like to keep those at the current ratios.
OCCash and Hundies are near the top of the list for worse results ever for me. I keep them on my statesremote just to make sure I am not sending any more clicks!!

Surely it'd be easier to list the ones that have actually continued to convert??? ;-))

If you are sending real traffic (actual surfers clicking the links and wanting to go there) and the ratios are down...then it seems to me you've done your job and the problem is at the paysite.

The way I see it, I'm sending actual human beings. They are going to the site. They are going through the tour of the site. And then STILL not buying a membership. There's not too much an affiliate rep can do about that.

The entire members areas available for absolutely free on a torrent site + full scenes on tubes + shit economy has hurt sales pretty badly.

The only sites I can make decent sales to these days are the ones that just started (not all over the torrents and tubes YET) and the ones that are so niched or small enough not to be noticed that they too are not stolen...YET.

Isn't the whole point of hiring an affiliate rep is to manage affiliate concerns and forward those concerns to the program owners? It's the same everywhere else.... you have a team of reps (affiliates) and your the supervisor (affiliate manager)... one rep comes up and say this and that about the work they are doing... so you act on it and figure out a solution to their concerns, or you give them the bottom line, either way, its the affiliate reps job to get an answer back that's honest or advise of what actions they are taking.

Affiliate Managers are managers... this is business management 101. If I was a paysite owner, and had affiliate reps, i'd be having weekly huddles with them online and going through actions plans on whats going on with my top 20 affiliates and bottom 10 affiliates. a 2hour meeting once a week thats MANDATORY won't strain anyones schedule.. and if it does... then I would have the "this position isn't a good fit.." conversations and move on...

Those who know.... know what i'm talking about.

Might be surfers hitting the tours, watching the trailers and collecting names of the girls/guys from their favorite scenes, then heading over to the torrent sites to download them.

But more than likely we're being shaved harder than ever before while our backs are turned...most webmaster's attention is on the tubes and what to do about them. It's the perfect storm for this kind of shit.

I hear ya sharphead. I've always found affiliate reps to be more like a cheerleader. The guy who gets me motivated to send traffic his way. But once again...if you are sending traffic and the surfer goes to the tour and even the join page and still does not join...then I don't think an affiliate rep, the owner of the site, or anybody is going to be able to get them to join. They simply have reasons beyond our control.

Now if I were trying to promote somebody, but was kinda ignorant on how to drive traffic for some reason...then I suppose an affiliate manager could help in some way.

But for most guys who have done this a long time and are sending people and watching it not convert...then there is a bigger problem. And when it's happening to hundreds of major sponsors that I used to convert with big time, all at once...then it's an industry-wide problem.

But y'all know my thoughts on torrents already.

I think you just hit the nail on the head. I've been seeing these trends for the last 2 years on my tgps. When review sites came along it just made it a lot easier for that kind of behavior. And now there are tons of surfer forums just full of links to stolen content.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

Consumers want brands. They want exclusive. They want themed sites.

Gone are the days of paying some content broker a few dollars, publishing 10,000 pictures and 2,000 video clips, slapping up a tour page and expecting a sale. Sure, the sales may be there, but nowhere near as there as the sites that brand themselves for their quality, exclusivity and frequent REAL updates.

This thread actually made me feel better. In a weird way, at least.

My overall conversion rate has crept up to 1:588. Or would that be crept down?

Nifty Stats is saying that I am averaging $0.03 per unique and that is another number that is down for me; less than 50% of what it was just a few months ago.

I have three sponsors that keep those numbers even looking like that. Without them I'd probably be more at 1:1000.
