$1 a IP where I am at, people think my host sucks but I have gotten to know them pretty good learned some admin things with the server and got terabytes of transfer for what seems like nothing

I've never been charged for IPs, domain setup, or anything like that. ...not even charged for any of the 5 servers I have with them.

seems to me like everyone should work out personal relationships with their host....talk to them on the phone a couple times, have some beers with them at a show..

you won't end up paying money for ip's...thats just a loser tax

if you have a domain & need an ip for it ...u get it

if u want the ips just to have them, and not a domain for each one...you can't justify it....

most hosts get IPs for FREE from their upstream providers unless they have their own IP block. Even then it is still cheap!

$5.00/IP is not too bad! They probably make more off the IPs per month then the service. heh
