Porn legal/ethics/tube question...

Site A is a legal tube by that i mean using only sponsor provided videos and Site B does the opposite providing full scenes and dvd rips. Webmaster from Site A stumbles upon Site B and sees some full scene and dvd content he would really like to promote. Now if Site A webmaster then took that video from Site B and added it to his site and put links back to sponsor around the video in the same manner as he would with a "legal" clip is he just as wrong?

Ok real world: theres some content i like that nots available through sponsor. And i doubt the sponsor will be providing full scenes and rips. I dont really care for the long clips ( longer than 8 mins ) cus i dont believe most surfers watch all that shit. But i would like to add this content to my site. Didnt mean for this to turn into a poll... let me know

You need to do the right thing. At the end of the day you are alone with you. If you are a lying stealing thief, then you have that to look at and that to great your family everyday.

I dont promote websites or own a program, but when i find long clips or stolen content that i recognize i contact the owners asap. Why? Because its the right thing to do.

If a sponsor is cool with you ripping their shit for a tube then they are going to give you a log-in to go and make your own clips. There are sponsors out there that do this. It's all about establishing trust with them.

I shoot custom exclusive, but if i find my shit or anybody else's shit where its not permitted to be, i contact the owners.

If i and everybody start leting that shit slide, me and other shooters will get less and less work, because the companies we work for will make less and less money. As a total result i get less work and or no work.

So it will directly effect me in the long run. I have seen a lot of really good shooters loose everything because they are not working. There will be almost nothing new getting produced if this keeps up.

If that happens, i will start hunting down tube owners with a prison "SPORK"!!!

I think you need to notify the sponsor and abide by their wishes in the matter.

I believe that in time there will be more legal control over torrents and tube sites.

You would not want to contribute to the angst of a sponsor or content provider who sees their content used without their consent.

I had that happen when I first started in this business, in 1997.
Well, it wasn't a tube, but I made my own clip to promote a sponsor.
I got a phone call from the very unhappy producer (Sorry Bob).
I'll never do that again without getting approval.

Contact the sponsor about the specific content you want to use.
I bet they'll let you use it in some way that will work for you - maybe
limiting the length to some medium length or something. Perhaps
make a sample page with a reasonable length clip on a page that
clearly promotes their site. If they think it may get them sales, they'll
say OK. They own the content. If it's not OK with them, then doing that
is stealing plain and simple. Consider if you spent $20,000 on video
equipment and another $3,000 to produce that video. You wouldn't want
it spread all around without your permission, right? I bet if you make a
reasonable sized clip they'll work with you, but if not, too bad - it's their
video that they paid for so it's their choice.
