What's the most you've ever spent on a concert / show?

I just dropped some major change on Leonard Cohen tickets. Front row, center.

These were straight from the venue through a pre-sale, not even scalped yet, and easily the most $$ I ever dropped on a show. In fact, I think one ticket cost more than I've ever spent on a pair of scalped tickets.

Anyways, tickets were $589 a peice. I don't think I'll regret it, but it is alot of dough for a show.

What about you guys? What's the most you've ever dropped on seats?

I dropped $400 a piece on some White Stripes tickets... well worth the cash as they stopped touring shortly after that show and the concert posters I picked up and had framed are now worth a lot of cash to collectors. It paid for itself and the show was fucking awesome.

Never heard of him.

I spent $100 on a ticket to see Dane Cook. What a waste of money. The joke was on me.

That's cool. I think that is how this will be. Leonard's getting older and I can't see him doing much touring after this. Usually he just plays the odd festival here or there, and it's usually not in this country.

I've been a huge fan for years, a friend of mine already caught him in europe where she paid 90 Euros for a festival and said he did not dissapoint.

Spent over $1,000 to see Cream Reunion at The Royal Albert Hall. With the flight tickets, hotel and a few other expenses I reckon it was $2,000. Money well spent.

I dropped $350 to see Van Morrison perform "Astral Weeks" in its entirety at the Hollywood Bowl last fall. They were front row ticks, and I sat by the fat kid from Superbad.

The pre-Reagan era was the time for concerts Grab twenty bucks, spend half on a ticket, half on a giant bag of stems and seeds, and nobody gave a good damn anyway.

That would have been great to see. I listen to the recorded album from that show quite often, it's very good.

I think the most I've spent is $80 per ticket.

$140 for Paul McCartney general admission a couple weeks ago. Worth it though, it was a god damn beatle!

I'll be seeing him again at Fenway Park this week (family hadn't seen him yet) and MGMT is opening for him!

Ha, I just dropped $600 for a pair of Leonard tickets at Caesars. And now I'll have to pay another $800 or so for my girlfriend and I to get there. Prior to this the most I paid was $300 for a pair of Sigur Ros tickets.

wow!! i can only imagine how great that show was!!

i saw rodger waters a few years back perform dark side of the moon in its entirety but im sure it doesnt compare to having gilmore and the rest of the band on stage!!!

I just spend 90 bucks on a ticket to the mile high music festival two weeks ago... Tool, Incubus, The Black keys, Galactic.. Altogether it was 270 with flight.

Great show & amazing weather.

I spent about $800 for hubby and I to see Britney.... 5th row, center... and another 360 that night for the Four Seasons.. but we got upgraded to the governor's suite.. so it was well, well worth it.. for me anyways..

$500 for 8th row center Dave Matthews...

and we paid $390 once to sit 4 rows behind Papa Bush at an Astros Game...

I'd love to see Leonard Cohen but I wouldn't pay that much. He played here recently and tickets never went for anything like that. Theres very few I actually would pay that much to see.

In December I flew from Hawaii to LA to see AC/DC. The tickets were around $500 for two, but flying there, spending a weekend in Beverly Hills, partying, rental car and all that prolly cost me at least another grand. So I'd say around $1500 in the end.

But it was totally worth it.

I think the most I have spent on a concert was about $350. I spent about $60 on the ticket to see Tom Waits in Seattle. It cost me about $60 in gas to drive up there and back then the rest on a hotel food, booze and stuff. It was well worth the money. A once in a lifetime concert.

As for just a flat cost of a ticket probably was $85 to see Roger Waters. He was amazing. He played a lot of Pink Floyd stuff and some of his own stuff.

Most I think I spend was probably only a few hundred bucks... I haven't been to a decent concert (or pro one at that) since I was in high school lol.

Close to same here, 150 per ticket X2 plus gas down from Fargo to Winnipeg. (Which was a hell of a lot of gas cause I took my Blown S-10 (about 5 miles to the gallon LOL) But I had a car show to goto after the show.

Last I heard he lives in Montreal, so he plays Canada alot more often than he plays the states. I've considered making the trip to see him up there, but when you add it all together it would probably cost me more to do that even with the cheaper tickets.

When I consider travel expenses I've gone to Boston twice to see the Pogues, so add in flights, rooms, food and bar tabs probably would wind up being slightly more than I'm dropping here. Never regretted either of those trips

Woodstock '94 cost me a small fortune as a kid who just graduated high school.

I think we left about $500 worth of camping equipment because it was too muddy to lug out.
