Which of'em should I go for (pics inside)
It comes down to one of the following two: 1. The Fujitsu LOOX 600 http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/pocke...ockethome.html Or.. 2. The IPaq 5450 http://www.compaq.co.uk/products/ipa...400/index.html Ipaq has both BT and WiFi built in. LOOX only BT (which is basically what I need though WiFi is cool to have), But LOOX has both one SD and one CF expansions (one can be used if needed for WiFi expansion) while IPaq has only one CF. Otherwise, specs look alike. LOOX is a little lighter but a little smalller screen (same Resolution). What do you think? |

loox $550 (without wifi [probably extra $150]) ipaq $700 I am just wondering... The 2 expansions vs. 1 (for ipaq).. Is it about to point in Fujitsu's direction? Also about support etc.. IPaq is there longer..

 | I've got the iPaq 3635 one of the models just before the HP one you posted. I love it. I had an older one before that. I only wish it had wireless built in and it seems that the new model has it. I like the HP I think it looks better. They have more experience behind them too. Both have enough additional storage options so you'll have plenty or room to hold your pics and clips. IMO if they are close in price go with HP. saintgames

I actually like the loox looks better ;) But the IPaq is sleak as hell as well. All the previous models are 200MHz so they are supposed to be slower and most didnt have BT. Its down to one of those two but can't decide. What I am wondering is: Is getting the built-in WiFi good enough bonus to give up Compact flash expansion and extra $150???

 | Also - the IPaq is not out yet and I wonder if its worth the wait.. It dont say if it supports the same accessories as the other models, like the foldable keyboard thingy. |

 | Well the one thing I do miss and was disappointed with was the lack of the built in Compact Flash for iPaq. Compact Flash is cheaper and there are add ons for it. At the time I was expecting a wireless card to come out that is the size of the SM card. Nothing yet,.... I'm sure you'll be happy with either unit. I know how tough it is. I spent weeks if not months researching the units last year. It was an easier choice a year ago too.

True - Ipaq was a natural choice untill recently. Now there is Toshiba and Dell and ViewSonic and others. Even the Zaphire (Linux based).. About the CF vs. SM. 512MB CF card can be found today for less than $200!! http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?...asource=FSLOOX where SM is like $450 http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?...asource=FSLOOX Shame to waste extra $250 for the same thing - even if its slightly faster or more "secured" (whatever that is)
