I doubt that. Boston gets KG back, and the diesel is with the lebrons. Good luck anyway.

And they just met and offered a 2 year contract to Rasheed Wallace. If they get him, Celetics will definitely be the team to beat in the East.

The east is becoming a beast! The big problem here is come the finals, these teams will beat the crap out of each other all season long and then come playoff time you will see it get even more physical, scary thought when you don't really have a major contender in the West right now to the Lakers dominance. Since it looks like they will get Artest for the mid level, they will let Ariza go and sign Odom.

Just fucking awesome. I was hoping they would have got him last time when he went to Houston. Lakers just got a whole lot tougher. Sadly we will probably lose Ariza now.

It will be a good pickup as long as he takes his "meds" ;) My Pistons picked up a couple of machines for next season and will be a force again...count on it! BTW, good talking to you today...thanks for keeping me in the loop on that mobile deal.

Just remember, one made free throw, and a goal tending call during the last second of a particular game and the series could have been completely different. Magic are a force now and have learned alot this season. Dwight will have more in his arsenal. Goooooooo Magic.

Let the teams in the East beat each other up. The Lakers will be fresh and waiting for the survivor, ready to take them in 5.

Short term, Artest is an upgrade over Ariza.

JohnV your Pistons are going nowhere!!!!

I really liked the lineup they played against the LeBrons in the playoffs and think they screwed it up by letting Nelson play. They have already lost Alston, Lee and Gortat and will most likely lose Turkoglu. That's a pretty good chunk of what got them to the finals. Time will tell how well the off season roster changes help or hurt their run to the playoffs again.

On the bright side, they said on the news today that the new arena will have a full blown nightclub built on the top level called skybar so I probably won't know the score until the next morning anyways

wtf. when they loose gortat? turk will probably stay. the magic will be willing to take the luxury tax now.

yes i agree nelson fucked things up. we did all with out him. i thought it was cool that he played, but it was a bad mix to do that for the finals.

I thought he was gone but it looks like he's just shopping around and Houston wants him bad. Gortat played his part well and the Magic need to hold on to him.

Hmmm, interesting. Artest will be a great add on to Lakers but I am sad to see Ariza go.

If the Lakers dont win again next year this will be a bad move losing Ariza... he could have been the "Scottie Pippen" to Kobe.

It wont really matter anyway because if the Celtics sign Sheed its game over

Until they get a new coach I don't see the Magic doing much. Hedo will sign with portland is my bet and I actually think that replacing him with Vince will make them easier to guard. Gortat is gone as well, a very underrated solid player.

Sorry to say but if Boston and Cavs are healthy Magic have no chance at getting back to the finals.

BTW Ariza was really stupid to go for the small amount of extra money to go to another team.

While I'm not a Lakers fan.. the best move with Artest is to play him minimal during the season (10 to 15 minute average) and keep him for the playoffs, then turn him loose to hammer people.

It's hard to knock the coach after he got the Magic further in the finals than they have ever been before. He may have made a few questionable decisions in the finals but I think it would be much better to keep him and just polish what they have already built than to replace him and start from scratch again.

The way things are shaping up it looks like next season will be very competitive.
I just wish they would cut the regular season schedule to about 20 games and then get right into the playoffs
