That was supposed to be a joke that he's Michael Schumacher. The Stig is a short ass, there's no way it is actually Schumacher. Publicity stunt. A cunning one at that.

I reckon it was probably more to do with the fact that Schumacher was probably the only driver that Ferrari would trust to throw the FXX around the Top Gear track
