when fighting monsters, one must be careful to not become a monster too

we have things like the Geneva Convention and the US Army Fucking Manual so we don't become like them.

Yes, in a war there will be civilian casualties (especially when the other side is a bunch of pussies that hide out in hospitals and mosques so they can't be attacked), but torturing prisoners, raping children, those sort of things are inexcusable.
