1. OP is an idiot 2. It is funny when people with NO knowledge of science make retarded statements like this and think, "How clever am I? I just debunked the whole thing with a simple observation." Well guess what? You didn't do anything, other than making yourself look dumb. Allow me to explain. We see stars down on planet earth because we are facing away from the sun, we are shield from it's brightness, therefore those stars we can and do see are no longer competing with the sun. Now pay close attention to the next part. During the day the sky is blue and washed in light by the sun, you know... that "star" that sits only a few million miles away from us. Thanks to our atmosphere we get all those pretty colors as the light filters through out atmosphere from dusk till dawn. NOW... What do you think the sky, actually space, would look like once we are OUTSIDE that atmosphere and even CLOSER and more exposed to that "star" sitting only a few million miles away? Come on, think hard... it doesn't really take a genius. No atmosphere, no filtering, just 100% bright as fuck starlight that COMPLETELY outshines every other light from any other star since the next closest one is 4+ light years away. Ever notice how bright all those photos are that are taken during space walks. Now lets stand on the moon and look into the sky, oh but you can't. The moon has no atmosphere so you are actually looking into space and the light from that "star" that is sitting only a few million miles away drowns out all the other stars. Here is a trippy image for you. When you stand there on the moon everything is lit up like nothing you have ever seen before, I mean its really fucking bright. But when you look up into the sky it is completely black. A total contradiction to everything we know from our experience of living our life on planet earth. Sorry bud, but you don't know shit. :2 cents: |

I wish we would go back to the moon. I would also like to see us reach mars, at lest in my lifetime.

NASA has planned a manned landing and exploration of the Sun.
When a reporter asked how this might be possible, the NASA spokesperson stated that it could be accomplished because the landing would be done at night... http://agranddesign.org/wp-content/u...1_16_ff_pf.jpg I'll see you on the dark side of the moon... And remember, sometimes the moon howls, and the wolf is silent! ADG |

I was making it simple for the OP. I was making it so a 3rd grader can understand it. I am well aware of the distances as I placed the next nearest star at 4+ light years away. Me adding in all the technical data would only take away from the lesson I was trying to teach a simpleton. |

I've always thought that this was a seriously lame topic, I was standing right there at Kenedy space center when that rocket took off towards the moon and I watched the rest on TV, like everybode else.
Of course they could have sent the rocket up in space headed to know where for all I know and it's still up there floating around. I didn't see it land with my own eyes. I still believe it happened. |

we've been there done that. its expensive and no point to keep going back unless you want to hit golf balls. it was a major feat for mankind; to land on the moon... as well a game between US and Russia to see how would land first, now all we are worried about is oil and so called weapons of mass destruction :1orglaugh |
Have you ever just gone outside with your camera, and taken a picture of the sky? I'm guessing no because if you do, you'll just end up with a black picture.
The stars won't show up. (unless you modify the shutter speed) After you try it, come back and post it. Let's see how many people say you weren't really on Earth. |
