Anybody use 'font manager' software?

if so which one and how useful is it to you? i have too many fonts, scrolling through them in Photoshop and Illustrator is now a big pain.

I use The Font Thing
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~scef/tft.html
it works great for browsing fonts, allows you to insert sample text, has a character map and you can create collections like scripts, handwriting, etc. for easier browsing
The specs show its only for up to win 98 but it runs on xp w/o a hitch.
its freeware.

Tried this one, Nexus Font http://xiles.net/ , it's free and quite good - but don't see it having a feature for temporary installing fonts. So i'll try Font Explorer next.

i'm gonna clear out the Windows Fonts folder of everything but the most commonly used fonts.

i have over 6,000 fonts on my drives - 95% of them useless.

This simple tool shows you all the fonts installed on your computer and helps you choose which one is most suitable for a particular project.
