I would like to tell everyone that Amp has finally returned my emails and I will be talking to him when all this calms down. I'm assuming he was pretty loaded and I knew he was. I knew in my mind this was not the Todd I knew talking to me that way. We had a very mutual respect for each other and I considered Todd an excellent person. I am still in (WTF) mode but feel I have to speak.

I would say most of you do not have children here and CANNOT make accusations towards how people should feel, or how Todd was supposed to react. I do agree with K-man that you truly have to take things with a grain of salt on these boards but K-man doesn?t understand that most don?t have that mentality.

There was a kid on AWI whom I used to battle with all the time and we became the best of friends after I spent quality time with him saying your not your father and your not abusive, So stop knocking people who drink. I later realized that his father was an abusive alcoholic cause he always used to knock us about what we were drinking that weekend. People have ghosts, issues, problems that is fucking life you know. Everyone has problems no matter how Brady Bunch they seem.

I believe it was the timing for AMP to explode about all the little issues he had with people and the fact that he misses his children and I guess MistaT or whoever he is, set him off. I feel bad and I truly hope you see your kids cause I know you guys live in different places, But I will tell you DONT EVER take kid advise from people who don?t have kids cause they don?t know what the fuck there talking about.

I'm a father of three boys and you know that. So when it comes to kids I can relate to how you felt about a direct attack. It even bothered Joe cause he has kids as well. I wont take crap from anyone about my kids so I understand how you feel. You don?t bring kids into this game man you just don?t.

During the dialer days I knew I wanted to get into pay sites and that's what I did. We all knew dialers were coming to an end. I brought 2 dialer companies from nothing to success in no time. I did very well with it but unfortunately the other side that was in charge of accounting fucked my people over with payouts. My people whom I have spent countless hours on design and exits on free sites and CJ, and good friends from all over the globe I go way back with. These are the same people who got screwed from my partner who I thought was a friend. He ends up draining the bank account and lets me to dry and runs with the money and closes shop. I take the heat even to this day. If you?re not strong is this business and cant learn to accept the fact that you?re going to take shit from people no matter how sharp you are or how good you are to people it comes with the package, so deal with it.

Duane-AKA pensfan basically designed most of mafia and Webinc did three sites including the Original Mafiaporn. It wasn?t till later that Amp and I got together and said hey we should do something together. At this point I was struggling with mafia. Most guys didn?t want recurring payouts. I stepped in headfirst and didn?t know what the fuck I was doing. People like Soulcash, Lightspeed, Largecash, Mario-aka Masters spent hours with me to help cause we had so many bugs due to a programmer who just fucked everything up thanks to Jimmy3way.

After Jimmy stepped out it was I, the original programmer and Amp to do designs and start really upgrading Mafia. Amp says hey snow I'm really involved in this design contest and I want to use Mafia as the entry site. I said bitchen that's cool. Good for Mafia and good for amp for exposure. We both definitely got the exposure after he won. It was great then people started saying it's rigged and all this shit. Someone will always say shit no matter how right you are again it's part of the package.

During all this Amp was moving to Hawaii and at the same time had orders from other companies to do designs. He had quotas and really could not focus on a hundred percent here, which I understood. I said hey you have to put food on the table get those sites built and do what you have to do. We were both excited about doing this together and felt we would do well with this. There was even a post about it on GFY. Gary his friend stepped in and was going to work on SE stuff as well. We were concerned about how the new design was going to convert and how it was going to do. At this point it was a test for Amp as well to see how well his designs were doing so this was a good exp for him. Most designers will build you something pretty but could care less whether the thing converts or not. So many things come into play when your in the paysite game you have No fucking Idea.

Amp got really busy and we started loosing touch. He did build the Original, which won the contest, and he built another with a different color. After that we went for a basic one. I would call and ask him what's up and he just told me dude I have to get these designs out I cant work on mafia. That was the last of our talking on the phone basically, other then Hey what?s up how are you. I would call him and he would say oh my girl and I are going here or there. He was enjoying himself at his new location. The truth is we lost touch and nothing was ever mentioned.

I always kept the door open for him to come in with me as a partner. Mafia was doing ok but not great. It had bugs and the programmer just had it all cluster fucked. Amp ended up doing Celebrity sites or some other venture with Gary. I must have ICQed amp 25 times in the last 6 months and no answer. A phone call man I just don?t understand why you didn?t call me. Did you call and say HEY SNOW I'M OFF TO DO SOMETHING ELSE WITH ANOTHER PERSON. JUST PAY ME THIS FOR THE DESIGNS. OR do this or send that. A GOD DAM BILL PERHAPS? I'm a born communicator and I NEVER hide or run. People can talk shit but you know what I NEVER FUCKING RUN and those of you who know me will see that. I would have been like cool NP good luck to you in your project. 6 months go buy and the circus act explodes I mean come on man.

Mafia has been completely recoded from the ground up. Been working on that for 6 months. I went through hell with my wife and we divorced after 15 fucking years. I should have committed suicide with all the bullshit I have gone through and I didn?t have to rage on anyone. I was in a miserable depression and was completely devastated. I let everything go, Fuck Mafia, Fuck making money, Fuck the net. I wanted to sit home and dwell. I was a mess. It took 7 months for me to get back to life. I'm revived, my kids are great I have a GF now and I'm busting my ass to get MAFIA VERSION 2.0 off the ground. This is my fresh start I have a new life now, But I miss seeing my boys on a daily basis.

All you had to do was call, Simple bro. We all have our baggage. Don?t feel alone. You have something no one can take away and that's Design. You have a new life with a new girl and live in Hawaii. How great is that? I wish you the best and I truly want to help in any way I can. I want to pay you for whatever you feel is right. I want this to wash . I do not now nor have I ever been or protrayed myself as a programmer. How the fuck could I fuck up your sites? The only thing I did that had anything to do with programming was to hook you up with a programmer I know.

I started out as a web designer around 95... and the reason I got out of that biz -- it's very VERY hard to negotiate with the customer... there's always communication problems... I only came away with one thing "the customer almost always knows what he wants even though he tells you that you have creative freedom, etc..." -- so you have to drill them and drill them to get every last worthless bit of creative juice out of that customer's head... It's not really about creativity tho -- because 9 times out of 10 if you produce some quality work that you enjoy -- the customer won't necessarily be happy... They WILL be happy if you give them exactly what they want -- and that's usually some vague vision that they have in their head already -- you just have to pull it out of them and it's like pulling teeth... Otherwise you will just keep showing them samples and then you'll just keep making corrections -- "well I didn't really picture it that way" -- etc. etc.. Anyway that's just my 2 cents -- that's why I got out of the design biz... It's 95% negotiations and maybe 5% artistic talent.

I agree that it does take solid communcation. The hardest thing about being a web designer is details. Clients are too busy to provide vital information and details. Therefore making it harder on the designer to come up with something clean, turnkey, and satisfying for the client.

I disagree that it takes 5% artistic talent. I would'nt be a designer if it only took 5% to come up something. It's hard... it reallly is. but... once i get that picture in my head, i'm gone with it. Then when it's done. I sit back, look at it, and say to myself. whoa! I did that!?

- an honest business man

- and encompass family values only a damn good father would have.

I had no idea what was up in your life amp. But I'll tell you this about me. I had to partner with a large company to keep myself alive cause I wouldn?t have made it. Mafia has been completely recoded from the ground up. Been working on that for 6 months. I went through hell with my wife and we divorced after 15 fucking years. I should have committed suicide with all the bullshit I have gone through and I didn?t have to rage on anyone. I was in a miserable depression and was completely devastated. I let everything go, Fuck Mafia, Fuck making money, Fuck the net. I wanted to sit home and dwell. I was a mess. It took 7 months for me to get back to life. I'm revived, my kids are great I have a GF now and I'm busting my ass to get MAFIA VERSION 2.0 off the ground. This is my fresh start I have a new life now, But I miss seeing my boys on a daily basis.

All you had to do was call, Simple bro. We all have our baggage. Don?t feel alone. You have something no one can take away and that's Design. You have a new life with a new girl and live in Hawaii. How great is that? I wish you the best and I truly want to help in any way I can. I want to pay you for whatever you feel is right. I want this to wash . I know this is a book but really wanted to explain the whole picture. I don?t need to prove myself to you or anyone cause you I know I'm a Dam good friend and person. The people who know me and mean something in this biz know my position. So I will be pretty active with mafia now and don?t need extra drama in my life. People like Soulcash, Lightspeed, Largecash, Mario-aka Masters spent hours with me to help cause we had so many bugs due to a programmer who just fucked everything up thanks to Jimmy3way.

After Jimmy stepped out it was I, the original programmer and Amp to do designs and start really upgrading Mafia. Amp says hey snow I'm really involved in this design contest and I want to use Mafia as the entry site. I said bitchen that's cool. Good for Mafia and good for amp for exposure. We both definitely got the exposure after he won. It was great then people started saying it's rigged and all this shit. Someone will always say shit no matter how right you are again it's part of the package.

During all this Amp was moving to Hawaii and at the same time had orders from other companies to do designs. He had quotas and really could not focus on a hundred percent here, which I understood. I said hey you have to put food on the table get those sites built and do what you have to do. We were both excited about doing this together and felt we would do well with this. There was even a post about it on GFY. Gary his friend stepped in and was going to work on SE stuff as well. We were concerned about how the new design was going to convert and how it was going to do. At this point it was a test for Amp as well to see how well his designs were doing so this was a good exp for him. Most designers will build you something pretty but could care less whether the thing converts or not. So many things come into play when your in the paysite game you have No fucking Idea.

Amp got really busy and we started loosing touch. He did build the Original, which won the contest, and he built another with a different color. After that we went for a basic one. I would call and ask him what's up and he just told me dude I have to get these designs out I cant work on mafia. That was the last of our talking on the phone basically, other then Hey what?s up how are you. I would call him and he would say oh my girl and I are going here or there. He was enjoying himself at his new location. The truth is we lost touch and nothing was ever mentioned.

I always kept the door open for him to come in with me as a partner. Mafia was doing ok but not great. It had bugs and the programmer just had it all cluster fucked. Amp ended up doing Celebrity sites or some other venture with Gary. I must have ICQed amp 25 times in the last 6 months and no answer. A phone call man I just don?t understand why you didn?t call me. Did you call and say HEY SNOW I'M OFF TO DO SOMETHING ELSE WITH ANOTHER PERSON. JUST PAY ME THIS FOR THE DESIGNS. OR do this or send that. A GOD DAM BILL PERHAPS? Been working on that for 6 months. I went through hell with my wife and we divorced after 15 fucking years. I should have committed suicide with all the bullshit I have gone through and I didn?t have to rage on anyone. I was in a miserable depression and was completely devastated. I let everything go, Fuck Mafia, Fuck making money, Fuck the net. I wanted to sit home and dwell. I was a mess. It took 7 months for me to get back to life. I'm revived, my kids are great I have a GF now and I'm busting my ass to get MAFIA VERSION 2.0 off the ground. This is my fresh start I have a new life now, But I miss seeing my boys on a daily basis. All you had to do was call, Simple bro. We all have our baggage. Don?t feel alone. You have something no one can take away and that's Design. You have a new life with a new girl and live in Hawaii. How great is that? I wish you the best and I truly want to help in any way I can. I want to pay you for whatever you feel is right. I want this to wash . I know this is a book but really wanted to explain the whole picture. I don?t need to prove myself to you or anyone cause you I know I'm a Dam good friend and person. The people who know me and mean something in this biz know my position. So I will be pretty active with mafia now and don?t need extra drama in my life. I have nothing more to say other then I want you to feel comfortable with what we did together or come to some kind of conclusion. Posts: 11,856	I started out as a web designer around 95... and the reason I got out of that biz -- it's very VERY hard to negotiate with the customer... there's always communication problems... I only came away with one thing "the customer almost always knows what he wants even though he tells you that you have creative freedom, etc..." -- so you have to drill them and drill them to get every last worthless bit of creative juice out of that customer's head... It's not really about creativity tho -- because 9 times out of 10 if you produce some quality work that you enjoy -- the customer won't necessarily be happy... They WILL be happy if you give them exactly what they want -- and that's usually some vague vision that they have in their head already -- you just have to pull it out of them and it's like pulling teeth... Otherwise you will just keep showing them samples and then you'll just keep making corrections -- "well I didn't really picture it that way" -- etc. etc..
