Ok I know things like depression are mostly in the mind, and if you get a prescribed bottle of something that is actually a placebo then that could actually work. But I've read about people replacing their pill addicted friends or family members supply with some identical placebo's, this shit could not possibly work. The effect of some pills are so strong that I really don't believe someone's mind could create it even if they thought it was coming..

Is there a place online to buy these? I'd love to try it out on some friends. I mean if it really works fully, why not just buy half placebo's and half the real thing and throw them into a bottle? You double your supply for half the price!

Placebos only work when the ailment is eased by positive reaction in the brain.
The placebo causes the same positive reaction of a particular drug.

For example : pain medication.

The mind can reduce pain all on its own without any drug.
The "belief" that the pain drug has been taken triggers the brain to react as if the
drug was actually taken.

It's like jacking off but being too retarded to know it's jacking off and not actual sex.
But then again, maybe jacking off is sex..........

I think you are missing the point of a placebo. They mainly used to test again the "real" drug. If the results are the same for both the real and placebo drug, the real drug is useless. Just because you give somebody a placebo and tell them it is something else doesn't mean it is going to work.

Then again, when I was in high school, a buddy brought my girlfriend and me a couple of soda's a a school dance and after I took the first drink it dawned on me that he might have drugged them (even though he hand not) but I did not feel right for about 5 minutes while I "thought" I was going on a trip or something.
