Blog experts, please help!
To the bloggers in here,
if any of you could shed some light on this I would be GREATLY appreciative of any help. I'm currently trying to install the following Blogger Theme: http://www.eblogtemplates.com/red-stamp-blogger/ When I try to install it I get the following error, " The new widget id "Recent-Posts-Widget1" is invalid for type: Feed ". There is virtually zero info on this question on any other board and it has been raised quite a few times. I've tried a few solutions but none of them worked, one did fix this error but after the fix showed a new error. Please for the love of god shed some light on this, it's not a simple mistake I'm making or anything.. you can take the 2 seconds and try to install this theme yourself and you will get the same error. I would be incredibly grateful for any help at all, thanks again.

Any reason you're using blogger instead of wordpress? I remember using that same theme on an old wordpress blog, but I have never messed around with blogger... otherwise I could probably help ya out.

The theme is also available in wordpress,
and to answer your question Jayvis no I've never used wordpress. To me blogger seemed more "simple", but perhaps this is a bad choice. Wordpress seems a bit more complex.

Wordpress looks good in all,
but I've heard surprisingly good things about Blogger and I would love to stick with it if possible. I'm sure it can't hurt that google owns it either in terms of indexing. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.

Diomed... I haven't ever used blogger, but I can guess a couple of things to check.
It sounds like the widget is set up in the admin (or within the skin) and it needs to be turned off or removed from the html to install the skin. In the admin area of blogger, look for the widgets menu, it may be within a menu so click around. If you find it, look for the widget named "Recent-Posts-Widget1" - Add your feed url or delete it. If its not in the admin, open the skin files and search for Recent-Posts-Widget1 - Delete the line(s) that handle this widget. Or maybe it needs that widget, so you need to create it.. And the FEED sounds like it's your OWN feed url for your blog, so it can pull in and display updates. Hope that helps..

I deleted the lines, but it's fucked.
As soon as I solve one problem a new problem arises. I just don't understand how there is an active demo at - http://red-stamp.blogspot.com/ , when I can't get it to work for shit. Excuse my frustrations, but I was really partial to this template design. It was perfect for what I had planned. I can get other templates to work with no problem, but I just wanted this one. Yes it's available in wordpress as well, I'm sure it probably even works over there.. but I'm really liking the simplicity of blogger. Thanks for the help anyways. Fuck it.
