Yeah, AAPL shares took a hit when they made the announcement that he would be taking a break from day to day operations. Steve Jobs and the faith/confidence people have in him plays a big role in Apple's fortunes. That's their big challenge.

Id guess if he passes, that the stock will drop a big amount. IMO would be the time to buy in to it. The company (even though I in large can't stand them) will run without him at the helm, and stock is bound to come back up within 6 months at most.

There are no other managers, executives or anything at that company, just the people making the actual computers, so without him no decisions will or can be made, it will just crumble and shatter into pieces or maybe even explode.
