I found a sweet guitar resource for an one who plays guitar. they show you how to play actual songs.

i like tab sites for reference but if you really want to see whats going on use youtube to watch how people play it.

Yup I play everyday. Use www.911tabs.com it references a bunch of diff tab and chord sites.

do you ever use the "guitar pro" tabs? what is the story on that application? is it spyware or anything like that, or is it worth downloading the free version? any comments on it?

I don't use "tabs" at all. Never did, prob never will. I can read them, but as long as I know what the song sounds like, I just need the basic chords.

I play by ear too, but it's always nice to punch in to google for tabs, youtube for preferably live performances, and then tutorials sometimes.
'course nothin helps get past having stubby fingers, but so be it.

a buddy of mine has these super stubby, short fingers and the guy can play like a demon! just practice, practice, practice!

I learned guitar when I was 8. Having long finger nails now that I'm older prevents me from playing. I can play a few songs on bass and I can hold a beat on the drums.
I am a jack of trades but a master of none of them unfortunately. I like to sing too but I sound best when the spectators are drunk. LMAO

Paul Gilbert's fingers always struck me as being super long, especially his pinky.... insanely skilled guitarist

and note that flamenco is not his style, I just thought that was a good palatable video for here, he is insanely good on electric guitar

yeah, he's a freak of nature! lol great player. I am really interested in taking flamenco lessons, hard to find a good teacher. flamenco is just amazing guitar music.

ultimate-guitar is pretty sweet. i go there for tabs all the time. the site is huge as well. good spot to buy traffic prolly. heh. tons of $$$ i would assume. they have a video section as well, but i think guitarguy.tv is better and easyer to navigate. To much shit i dont wanna see on the other site.
