How to be cool on GFY. Strategy #3 "Being above people"

Here is a classic GFY strategy. See, what you do is you make fun of people making fun of you. You call out trolls, youngins, broke, sig whores, etc. In some extravagant thread about how you're so great and make lots of money or something stupid (cars, house, watch, or boat - are usually the best). Loose "rocks" have been proven to not work out so well FYI.

This creates the illusion that everyone is lower than you.

This way. When you get your ass handed to you on GFY. It almost seems like you're the one coming out on top. Because as you can try to point out, it's only worthless trolls and sig whores making fun of you.

You basically put yourself above people automatically. Anything anyone says is instantly irrelevant, because you can place them into one of the worthless categories you previously mentioned.

My favorite strategy is to post in a thread about a complex subject and make a drive by comment that is short and cryptic in order to trick people into thinking you are "in the know" and everyone else is so out of touch you can't even begin to set them straight.

For example, in a thread about SEO you should drop in and post something like "this thread is so clueless it's hilarious" or something similar.

Or in a thread about tubes and profits, post something like "If you knew what the stats really looked like you would freak out".

This works two fold, first it makes you look like you have insider knowledge and second, you can't be proven wrong or outed as a phony because you never really said anything in the first place.

Feel free to use these techniques as needed.

I don't use my sig to detract from my posts; I let my personality come through for that.

My favorite strategy is when you pretend you're SO cool that you make observation threads about supposed strategies on GFY like you know the psychology behind everything.

You're like my exact opposite. I have completely useless shit to post, but a completely awesome useful sig.

If we ever touched each other in real life, would we implode?

.... That makes me horny..

You forgot one important thing,

"People" as you call it here, don't have any manners at all, it's not like in real life,

The behaviour here is at the level of apes / animals, hence the question why anyone serious should take it seriously?

Just a simple rhetorical question.

Was this a real series?

Anyway, GFY is a handful of smart people, a bunch of blowhards, a few seriously deranged people and enormous amount of wannabes. You should be able continue your series without too much of a problem given the demographics of this place.

That being said, I'm compelled to visit several times a day to follow the nonsense so I can't really bag on anybody else around here.

Christ. You actually tried adding to discussion, by bringing up a thread in which this one makes fun of?

We were all having a fun time being stupid until you made it literal. Thanks for killing my thread.

You're in the state of pathological denial, I don't know if I should really argue with you or call the doctor right away.

What's the time over there - 11:57 pm?

Any alcohol consumed?

Uhg.. You're trying to prove a point, by linking a thread which this one makes fun of. I'd tell you to go look up denial, but it'd probably be lost on you.
