For those of you who need a better view click here.

This little guy between 3 to 4 feet was by the canal sunbathing for most of the day. The cops eventually came and watched over him, untill he decided to leave.

I called the cops, but I didn't see the gator/vermit guy show up. That I've seen they simply leave them alone and let them swim back through the canals.

This wasn't the first time. It was the first time that it came so close to my house. Normally they stay behind the bridge/road on the picture.

What is scary are these idiots that think it is fun to feed them. Gators normally are skittish around people but, when people feed them, they lose their fear and that's when attacks can happen. I used to live in a complex that had a 6ft gator living in the lake and you would be amazed at the ignorant people that would toss food (whole, store bought chickens) in the lake to feed it.

I agrea, and that's why I called the cops the minute I saw him. The police officer stayed about 40 to 50 feet away and in his car. The mob of onlookers stayed on the other side of the cannal, but they were getting out of hand. The cop had to come on buy and ask them to leave several times.
