I'm quitting drinking for the next three months
I made a bet with a friend of mine, who'll make more progress in the gym during the next three months.
I have a plan for training and what to eat that I put together myself because I used to workout in the past. No heavy weights (not even capable of that heavy weights anymore) - I'm gonna eat 5 small meals a day, mainly proteins and vegetables and shit (I hate it and it's just two days now) . I'm gonna lift smaller weights, like at 60 pct. of the max, and everythig slow with full tension - like 12 - 15 x per series. Hitting the gym on Friday evening, Sunday evening and Monday evening with enough time for recovery over the week time, when I need to mainly work. Plus 90 minutes of soccer over the weekend every two weeks and some faggy running in the odd weeks when I won't be playing. I'm planning to loose like at least 1 - 1,5 inches in the waist during these 3 months, get the right pct. of the body fat back in place and form the rest a bit - I want to look like Mel Gibson in 1987. My bud is doing the contest in the Muscle and Fitness magazine, so he's taking the "before" pics on the 23rd of March, then he will take the "after" pics in June, he'll take mine too, but not, I'm really not gonna compete in the magazine nor I'm gonna post it here to satisfy someone's gay crush, it's just between us two. Well, I have three exceptions - this Thursday when Ed from SSearch is coming over and I promised to try to keep up with him before my bet took place, the other problem is I'm planning to hit the Mallorca show in May and the XBIZ Vegas at the start of the June - so I will have at least three serious violations.

I quit drinking last Sunday. Not by choice though.
Turned out i got amoeba, some bacterial infection I do not wish anyone. I wont be able to drink for at least another 10 days because of the 10x2000MG of antibiotics I have to swallow. Whooptie hoo. Might as well start doing some push ups when I feel a little better though. I might like it and the body sure as hell could use it. Oh well, it's been about

best of luck to you, Carlos. I haven't been drinking at all for the past few days. I'm not sure how long it's gonna last and I didn't do it on purpose but its been pretty cool not stumbling to bed these past few nights.
Plus no morning hangovers mean I get more work done. Thats always a plus.

ya I quit drinking this last dec and haven't had a drop since and it feels good.. Spent the first 3 weeks sober in the hospital and I've been on meds that don't allow me to really drink but if I wanted to i still would've..
For me it was just time to quit or atleast to take a nice long break from drinking Good luck!

Good luck. I've been on the "6 meals a day" & hitting the gym 5 days a week routine for almost 3 years now; I lift heavy and drink heavy on the weekends though.

I quit drinking 7 weeks ago now.
granted it was because I've been super ill over that time.. but now I'm getting better I think I'm going to ride with it as long as I can. Tbh I don't miss it that much, and I've lost 10 kilos without really trying |

Saturday: Woke up before 8 AM to finish some work 8 - 12 AM putting together the complete revenue stats for 2009 so far cause there was someone more than important coming over this weekend after 6 months he spent on vacation noon - getting something to eat 1 PM - 3 PM finalizing the stats overview, finally sending it out and finishing at 3 PM 3 pm - 5 pm taking the girls (I live with 3 girls now) for a short trip around the city, sightseeing, coffee and bullshit, then I'm getting tired 5pm - 7 pm - returning to my place and taking a nap as I'm tired as hell and don't feel like driving 7pm - 8 pm - dining 8pm - driving about 70 miles to see an old friend of mine 9:15 pm - arriving at his place, we're chatting, I'm drinking an alcohol free beer while we're watching "The Last Boyscout" we're also talking about my new cell phone plan as he's my man at T-Mobile where I want to move from Vodafone 11:30 pm - driving to the old family house that's nearby and go to sleep there Sunday: 6:45 AM - waking up so I'm on time for my weekend university courses 8:00 AM - arriving at the place where it takes place, realizing there's some exams I don't need to do so I go to the library to get me an interesting book about the effectiveness that was recommended to me by a friend of mine 9:30 Am - leaving the place as far as I realize I don't need to be there for the rest of the afternoon as it's some 5 hour long lecture from "accounting" that would kill me 10:00 AM - back at the family house, as far as I don't feel like gym today I decide to chop the lumber for about an hour, I feel like Charles Bronson in the "Magnificient seven", I end up chopping it for about 2 hours as the fucker won't go easily noon time - having a lunch with my sister and brother 1 PM - taking a short nap as I'm tired as hell and don't feel like driving 2 PM - taking off, driving back to my city 3:15 PM - arriving, getting some fitness brunch 3:30 PM - learning Russian as far as I'll have an exam on the 19th of April 4:30 PM - sick of Russian so I try to text three other girls if they would not be up for a romance today, they don't respond so I at least take two of my girls and their cute blonde friend for a game of pool 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM - we're playing pool, I'm playing the worst game of my life and they beat me 4 times out of 5 games. 7:00 PM - 8:45 PM - I'm ordering the girls a bottle of champaigne and try to pick up their friend, I like her temperament and I am trying to explain her that there's no reason in this world to have one boy friend only 9:00 PM - we're all arriving at my place, I bought the girls the ingredients for a Sushi so they're prepairing a dinner and I read a book in the meantime 9:30 PM - Sushi is ready and I'm having a dinner 9:45 PM - 11:15 PM - bullshitting a bit, I'm working some more on their blonde friend then I get really tired, kiss the girls good night and go to sleep It really is just about keeping yourself engaged I guess.
