Thanks for the heads up.

This really is not a big deal, i noticed it ages ago and just removed the link and have done so from plenty of sponsors. If this was some sort of injection or something that is completely hidden to you sure but it is not hidden in anyway whatsoever (only from the SE's), its your job as a webmaster to look at what code you are pasting into your site.

I'd still promote Webcams.com with the 'PR theft' over them cocksmokers over at Video Secrets any day.

oh guys i am seo lame but i know that 1+1=2, and if you put 1000 outgoing pr0 links at pr5 site, it must do something with your pr5 site! and if you dont think so, go and wash your head in cold water ... :2 cents:

Anyone who cares about this is just bitchin', they are doing good business - if you understand what they are doing with that iframe trick just remove the code and stop whining.

page rank zero then....right??? I mean, same number of links going in and out, right. I've never heard this before. I don't see how this would benefit google. Jos sites linking to resumes and companies would rank last. Doesn't make sense. |

Bottom line is they are a bunch of arrogant douchebags. |

Hate to agree with dj but yes this hurts pr, both of your sites and every link on your page that is devalued because of it.
|
wish people would use common sense sometimes.. this can kill your serp.
example. I have a page about buttons , my competitor also has a page about buttons, we each have 5 links pointing to us from other "button" sites we each have 1 link pointing out to a "button" site, now i add a text link to webcams that has nothing to do with buttons. hmm how do you think google will treat our sites if half my outbound links are to irrelevant pages and my competitions page has 100% of their outbound links pointing to relevant sites |
Good point on that

I worked for a studio for VS for my 1st 3 years in this business, and I am still grateful to everything VS did for me, I got to know plenty of girls that worked for VS, independent and through studios, USA and international, and they were all happy and treated fairly and always paid on time (which is more than I can say for some other webcam sites!) I only see it from the model perspective, so I can't talk about affiliate programs or stuff like that, but your beef is with the studio owners and model treatment, and you seem to be the ONLY ONE, so whats your real agenda here I wonder? |

Their answers after the fact: 1> They didn't get the complaints from me. Bullshit, it was on ICQ and they responded to me. But no, they did not respond to the emails. 2> The studio is a 3rd party and they can't control what the studio does. My agenda? Its to make people aware that they are lazy cocksuckers there at VS who did nothing about the problem. Their solution was to let that one specific model switch to another studio out of area. As a model I would think you might appeciate the severity of a studio handing out a model's personal information in a public forum. Ask Illeana how much fun it is to have a stalker. |

So if think VS treats their models so poorly, which webcam site in your opinion treats their models better? I've worked for plenty of the "top webcam sites" and I still say VS was one of the top.. 2 :) |
That's right Aaliyah, I've mentioned this a few times already but since it is being brought up again I have to say that it was resolved 100% to my satisfaction.
VS responded to me immediately when I spoke with them directly and sorted out the situation much faster than I anticipated. There will be problems in ANY company, what matters is how the company responds and solves the problems. |

If VS had any business ethics they would have kicked the 'studio' in Toronto to the curb. There is absolutely no possible way to excuse the actions of that 'studio' from a professional standpoint. He took advantage of a situation that he had purely because of representing them. Had he not been representing them he would never have had her personal information. Of course the clueless jerkoffs at VS don't seem to be able to grasp this concept. |
google cant follow links that are in iframes stupid

p.s. the link isn't in the iframe :winkwink: |
the html after the <iframe> and before the </iframe> is read as html for browsers that have iframes turned off, so anyone with frames turned off sees a no ref link to webcams and your ad doesnt even showup. so quite possibly cell phones and mini aps would how this as well as anyone in a secure browser.
at best its a very poor mistake. |
